The Oscars don't care about good animation anymore, the fact that this film is connected with Disney as Belle's Character Design was made by Jin Kim, character designer of many notable big Disney Films like Frozen, Moana and many more is the only reason I feel it may get a chance to get a pass from the Oscars, like how Spirited Away got a connection from a friend of Miyazaki who was in Disney who gave it a good review making the film more recognition from the Oscars I guess.
John lasseter pushed for spirited away, and make the conections for Disney to translate and i think distribute ghibli films. Withoit think i doub US would have many of the anime movies it got, specially because they change the concept of the series or the chapters.
One of the designers that worked on Frozen and few other Disney films helped out the design of Belle's character too. You can see how Disney-like Belle look as opposed to Suzu's drawn character by Mamoru.
Sadly the last slot got taken by Raya and The Last Dragon. Belle won't be at the Oscars at all
@@eggsalad7404 that's good enough for me. Let Disney and/or Pixar take all the awards it can get at the Oscars. Belle won Sundance and has a ton of other nominations elsewhere. That's just as good as any Oscar.

Loved all the dresses but the Red Rose dress was my favorite 🌹. This movie was such Joy to watch, cant explain how it made me feel so many emotions but trust me it did. I’ve seen it Twice so far and I plan on seeing it a bunch more in theaters 🙌

I loved all her outfits. In the swarm of songs when people were putting different outfits onto her image I loved the one where it’s a simple red top with a brown jacket. It was so simple but fashionable and pretty and something I could imagine seeing someone walk down the street in
i really like the white dress she first entered U in. it was very elegant but the silhouette was interesting and the way it floated and flowed was so pleasing to watch

This film, is an actual modern master piece. The animation gives me actual chills it’s almost as if we’re getting a glimpse into an anime universe we never knew existed. The music composure, the character designs. The overall vibe of the movie is surreal but realistic enough to where it’s just the perfect swirl of euphoria. I also want to mention I loved both the Sub and the Dub. The voice actors did so great, and Belle’s singing was phenomenal. This is definitely going to be one of my favorite anime movies.
Such a gorgeous and emotional film. It deserves as many awards as possible. No offense to any other animated film (Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks) but this deserves Best Animated Film.
My favorite dress was the white gown she wore when she was rescuing the beast. It was simple, beautiful, and suited her perfectly. Every dress was perfect. So was this movie
I absolutely fell in love will this movie. This has gotta be my favorite from all of Mamoru films that he has done this was truely a wonderful and beautiful creation that him and his team have made. The many emotions that this movie has brought had got me feeling it too and I hope he wins an Oscar for making this spectacular movie. 🥰
The movie was an absolute work of art and one of the best things I have seen in my entire life.
I’m happy there is official photos of real costumes. Helps us cosplayers to get better references and understanding how visual we should make it look.

As soon as I saw the dresses Belle wore, I knew they were done by professional designers rather than just references. It looked way too beautiful. The best dress is definitely the flower one.

I watch it a few days ago and its really so good and the music make me feel for the character and it was so unexpected type of movie. and i really didnt mind the cgi and all. its really gorgeous visual and stunning movie

SAMEEEEEE!!! When I went to see it yesterday I actually copied her makeup/face markings (though it got completely ruined when I cried my eyes out during the movie lol) but im definitely gonna try again and get the hair and dress too this time!

I just saw the film and this is stunning and I fully support more films and attention to the whole cast , art , voices and more it made me cry and the open interpretation of the ending is wonderful

I really do love this beautiful 💖handmade costume from the Japanese anime movie Belle, I think since Belle has became very successful that maybe they should do a musical theatre tour just like the Lion King, Frozen, Wicked, Mary Poppin and Shrek.
Belle is SUBLIME- by definition: “of such excellence, grandeur, and beauty as to inspire great admiration and awe”.
The red dress indeed caught my eye as well as the flowers around her chest during the time where she sings to the Beast!

It was an amazing movie and I loved the plot, with finding out who they truly are and things that are super important for us humans. However, I feel like they just should've made the movie longer, to make sure that everything was detailed, because some/most things were not explained well and it just "happend" without knowing why.
