- Hello my lovely bunch of people! Today I am bringing to you another Katrina Velarde Reaction video and this time I'm taking a look into her cover of Regine Velasquez's song "Araw Gabi", and she delivered an impeccable performance and one of the best ones she's ever done!

Katrina's voice is naturally very similar to Regine's and ppl accuse her all the time of imitating her voice. yes she does voice impressions at times and yes she sometimes intentionally wants. to sound like Regine in some songs orvat least parts of a song but that's because she can because they have the same timbre and haters are always going to say that about her no matter what. Katrina definitely jas her own signature style that Regine is not really known for.

this was a short clip. from her presa. conference for her upcoming concert in April where she was asked to sing a snippet of ARAW-GABI a capella.
4:24 That's just how the voice is. It's an organic "instrument" that is highly sensitive to physiological and psychological changes. It can't be at 100% all the time. I've listened to the Trinity so many times I can tell when any of them isn't in top condition, even in their primes. Maybe Mariah's riffs are unusually sloppy, or Whitney's transitions aren't as smooth as usual, or Celine's vibrato sounds somewhat goat-like today.
Interestingly, the slight shakiness/choppiness in Katrina's voice is no longer palpable halfway through the performance. Her voice warmed up as she was singing, and her body became less tense as she primed herself for the louder and higher parts.
It’s an effect put on the microphone. Her studio version has none of that. Irritating. Unnecessary.

You're wrong, there's no special about Katrina singing Regine's Araw Gabi, she just added an extension to the song by maintaining the notes unnecessarily! So why would Regine do this? Regine is a Superstar while Katrina was just inspired by Regine's undeniable talent. Wake up and do your research.

Please react to Katrina videos that aren't heavily autotuned and pitch corrected, as they are here after the three minute mark, on those long notes. Completely synthetic. Troy Laureta seems to do that on all his productions, unfortunately. I'm not sure if you reacted to it or not but her own upload of Saving All My Love for You seems not to be pitch corrected:

I get copyrights on my videos, and sometimes I can remove the copyright if I put some other royalty free music under the copyrighted audio, that's why you may here other music at times as well. It sucks but it helps occasionally.
I agree-the MICROPHONE must have some effect on it-drives me nuts…not her usual-go listen to her studio version-straight ahead with no funky vibrato. Too bad, just ruins this performance for me…sorry, Kat…deep six that mic….
