    Saw a great tip on Dude Ranch DIY, he places the bottom of an IBC tote bladder underneath the outfeed table on his splitter that catches all the debris that splitting creates. Then he has a fire pit made from an old 275 gallon fuel oil tank that he burns all the scrap up in. Probably after he separates any usable kindling from it. It would probably be perfect under your splitter.

    They don't say "ash is cash" for nothing!! It's a shame the ash borer is going to practically destroy the entire population. Such a great tree/wood overall.

    Yes sir.... that splitter is working nice and you got a metric shit ton of beautiful wood from that. Tree service wood is more work yes, but people that turn it down are missing out because of laziness. 120 bucks in an hour ain't too shabby. Keep up the good work bro , I enjoy it

      Wish I got as nice a wood for free from tree service companies over here in Scotland. Usually if the want rid stuff they want something for it and most the time it's usually spruce or fir but fir here is not like the fir u see in likes of Canada or US if they do offer good wood they usually want stupid money for it.

      @@michaelwillson6847 I've always gotten lots of softwood from them here in Canada too. Just have to take the bad with the good. I make sure it's really dry and either burn it myself or sell it as campfire wood. Cheers

      @@cowshottv5867 a must say that's generally what Al do or if firewood is what u do which am guessing it is any soft wood that comes in I've seen me sell to customers that have closed stoves might be marketing idea for u? • @OutsidewithScheib

    • @thefirewooddoctor
      @thefirewooddoctor ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@marcustraber, some saw manufacturers rate their bar length from the tip to the bar studs. Which is very deceiving on bar length and false advertising in my opinion.

      @marcustraber ปีที่แล้ว +2
