This man has so much knowledge, and he is willing to share, WOW Continental Congress 😃 😎 Beautifully presented, thank you so much. Bingo listen to what he says,
You are a treasure . My dad was passionate about antiques ,especially clocks and local history. He flew for the Navy and when he got out he never stopped. unfortunately he didnt beat his cancer and died at age 61. I admire how you pick your own pace now , and enjoy all of your acquisitions. those books are amazing.
Watching you tie that fly remindes me of. When going out into nature's bliss. When fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, or just to be there getting reaady to go and up to the time I land in that spot is a big part of the hole experience.
To anybody who thinks this man is a fraud and would ever not hide the chest the fact that objects mean so much to him and make emotional connections to things shows a life of introspective collection and preservation this man is a walking encyclopedia and the knowledge he holds far outweighs any riches he may have accumulated

Now that Forrest has passed, his "special place in the forest north of Santa fe" should be revealed. If you look at the Vallecitos Mountain Retreat website at: www.vallecitos.org/ , and then look at the photos (select Why Vallecitos, then Photo Gallery), you will see some hints that Forrest mentioned, such as: some case bronze bells similar to the ones Forrest made and buried; a photo of the Vallecitos Rio, the "water high" in the poem; and a photo of a large rainbow ("the poem leads to the end of my rainbow" from the jacket of The Thrill of the Chase); and if you open Google Maps and look at the grassy area south of the Vallecitos ranch house, you will find a large white rock wheel, as in "Try the wheel" as Forrest said to one searcher: www.dropbox.com/s/yw1sdttynrfxcnf/2%20Vallecitos%20Mountain%20Retreat-%20Try%20the%20Whell.jpg?dl=0 - - - - - The Google Maps coordinates for the Blaze (a large black painted "nn" (for Fenn) on top of a big white boulder) are: 36.6355, -106.2105 - - - - - -

When were these first produced? Very nice to get to know more of Forrest apart from the chase.
These were recorded in 2013. -CE
The Thrill of the Chase where did they come from? I've seen some over on vimeo, but not a lot of them that I have noticed
