Out of all the celebrities in the world one could meet; I'd want to meet mr. Emmanuel the most. I continue to play guitar to this day because of this man.
I always come back to this video; the selection of songs is just brilliant and it is played to perfection. I can assure you that it not only takes a lot of technical ability to play something like this, but also a lot of energy and physical strength. The fact that Tommy held it together for so long, seamlessly transitioning from one tune to the next without breaking tempo or even hitting a bum note, is mind-boggling and a testament to his mastery of the instrument. Even the feedback couldn't put him off!. A great homage from one legend to another.
Normally when you would hear feedback.. it would put you off the song. 10 seconds later you've right back with him hes that good. Fantastic medley. Probably the best one I've heard Tommy do.
Great Medley. The songs are as follows: Trambone - Windy & Warm - Bye Bye Blackbird - Wheels - Chaplin In New Shoes - Baby's Coming Home - Winter Walking - Road To Gungadhi - Waltzing Matilda - Wildwood Flower - Lover Come Back To Me - Caravan - Avalon - Cannonball Rag
A great man with a vast repertoire of songs. One of his performances that left me gobsmacked was Flight of the Bumblebees, where he was in a quintet with Mr Frank Vignola. Never seen speed like it.
IS it possible to get this audio as a file please?????? anyone? its so good its ridiculous. And i wish i could play like this, theres like not much oiut there on chet style learning its kinda sad, I WANT to play like that if only I had proper instruction I would practice all the time. anyone suggestions???/
Tommy is such a showman, I almost applauded to my screen at the end. Absolutely incredible
Mind blowing skills from Tommy! I love this medley...my favorite Chet tunes. A true gentleman and master of thumbpicking!
Tommy is the MASTER. And he is paying tribute to another MASTER. Chet Atkins! WOW
What a priviledge to watch a genius at work.

what a player and what a showman, im sure that he thinks about Chet and the times that they spend together every time he plays his songs... beautiful
He is just a marvelous gitar player. I just love this guy, and hope he will return one moore time to Norway, so I can listen to him alive.
