Improving your generals through effective skill book placement, choosing the right books, how to get books, and what books should be placed on sub city generals.
Miser thanks for your amazing work on these videos! Optimal skill book placement is very important and can be expensive if you get it wrong. It would be great if you could do a video about the best skill set to add to every type of general. for instance: for debuff generals I believe you should equip only sub development books, for defense general maybe give more importance to bonus range and HP than defense, what is best for pvp gens, boss gens, gatherers etc. I think it would be very valuable as many people get it wrong and I personally struggle getting to decide the 3 best skills for each, because once you place your 3 lvl1 books and then replace with lvl4 books.....well then you don´t want to mess with touching that ever again lol

I love these videos as it helps avoid or correct mistakes, but all the videos are focused on more higher level generals. What should we do at say level 20 & below with generals we have? I have Barbarossa & 2x Wei Qing which I've buffed a decent amount. Should I hold off putting more effort especially skill books into them or not? Also what do you do with them once you get the real top generals? Strip them of gear & dismiss?
Miser, great work on your presentation. You are right trying to get the correct book on is a nightmare someone with limited skills in this game. I took your advice and followed instruction with level 1 books. I only a few LV4 books. Question, if your book is replaced will the general get that skills or its just a wasted book?Also, what are the chances if you match the same book on a slot it being replaced just like when you start off in other words if you match the same book it will remain the same as the LV1 book?

Man, when I add mounted troop defense, it replaces the mounted troop attack! What happened there.. Too bad I didn’t pay attention to the levels.. I suppose all 1..
There is a chance to replace another book unless a same-type book exists already. Try to get your setup using level 1 books before replacing with the max rank books.

I had level 1 march speed. Added lvl 4 march speed and it didn't replace the level 1. I had empty space as well. Then i added lvl 4 mounted hp and it replaced the lvl march speed :)). Then i got lvl 4 march speed again and added it, but stil hasn't replaced the lvl 1

@@The_Miser You show in the video your Mehmet L32 has 15% Range Troop Attack and then you added a Range Troop Attack skill book. When I try to do that, I get a message telling me the general already had the same skill at a higher level at which point I cancel it because I don't want to lose it.
Hey, *subscribed....* So, if you have all skills slots filled then there is no chance that one of your books will get replaced if you are upgrading to level 4 books then?? It will *HAVE* to replace the lower level book, if there is one??
I wouldn't suggest using El Cid. Yue Fei wouldn't be a general I would go with either, except maybe for world boss. If you want him for world boss, then do cavalry attack, cavalry hp, and march size books.
@@The_Miser Thanks but are you sure? I added a lvl 4 skill to Princess Lucy (lvl 17) and it went into the 2nd slot. But when I tried to add a 3rd skill (a lvl 1 skillbook) it replaced the 2nd instead of going into the empty 3rd slot.
Yes, I'm sure. When you add skill books there is an increasing chance to replace an old one. Theres an easy way to do this, but it's a lot to type. I have a video somewhere called effective skill books placement. That's what you're looking for.
There's no realistic way to get him without purchasing. Some generals are just like that. There are some great generals that you could pick up through general fragments, though. Take a look in there.
March speed increases the speed at which you march to places. I wouldn't put it on Scipio for the reason that there are more useful books to improve ground troops.
@@The_Miser Thanks, I already used Lvl1 ground troop attack and defense, I was not sure if I use HP or speed , I will go with HP , hope will work at first trial :)
Your videos are great. Thanks. However, saying you don't spend any money on this game is either a flat out lie or disingenuous. Either the company provides you with infinite resources to build your account in order to let you make these videos OR you spend money. There is no option C given the level of development of your character.

attack/hp/march sound good to me.
Should I put skill books on archer tower general ? And also should I out skill books in main defence general ? And if you do what skill books ?
No. Absolutely. Depends on your troop composition, but usually siege range + some other attack, defense books

I know this was produced a while ago. Currently, my experience is that skill books do not come easily in wheel of fortune.
Does Cleopatra's skill stack with the Luck skill and/or rings?
Rings yes, but it is an upgraded version of the skill book so the game will not allow you to add the book.

You might have had monster march and normal march speed. These do not stack.
Is there any bonus for generals in your city bonus having skill books? Hospital, Academy, etc?
No, you can skip books for those.

Definitely don't use the skill book shop. Use the wheel of fortune to get lvl1 skill books.

So skill books that are the same as the general’s prime skill will stack. I didn’t know that.
Identical skill types will NOT stack.

His skill is not ranged attack. It's ranged attack WITH something else. Therefore it is not the same book.

There is no minimum player power, but your alliance has to be in top 10 on your server.

Immediately. They are never locked. You can put skill books immediately.

It was a lot easier to level up and gain things back in the day. Seems in line with someone that has played 2-3 years
