I dont agree with the point thay Chatlie, vivek approached students establishing the idea that immigrants will take your job. I have seen those videos as well and on my opinion, the idea was why DEI is not helpful and their argument was we should chose the most qualified person rather the one whose skin color is different. Unless I missed any specific convo.

In the developed countries, hiring based on identity vs qualification is pretty much the norm these days. Based on my opinion, this practice has some benefits for the company in the same way as 'a pro fossil fuel guy driving a Tesla.'
