Looks like dropped letter possibly. With all the machine doubling people wouldn't have been looking for something like that. With that said I'd say it's a new find. Possibly very rare with only one die involved. Nice find . Good luck

But its a lil circalated ):/ which sux that i finally got 1 and its circulated. Well i got 1 thats the point at least...... Need all 8 of em. But need all of them proofs and circ strikes.

I have the same USB scope and been searching for a while. Let me just say, it's alot (work) but a hobby I enjoy, to go thru a box of coins. I do it when I have free time. To do it as much as Rob aaaaaaaaand film, edit, & publish TH-cam videos is certainly a feat. You the man Rob! Keep it up!
A friend of mine who works at a store is always looking for coin goodies for me. He texts me the other day to let me know that someone spent about 28 bucks of their uncirculation state quarters collection and about 13 bucks in drummer boy quarters, some in mint condition. I still haven't had time to search thru them but excited to see if any surprises I might find.

I find silver dimes quite frequently at work (cashiering) but i never have found a silver quarter that way, but i was able to get a couple of silver quarters from someone who bought an energy drink with the discards from coinstar not knowing what they had lol ... btw it seems you keep getting the only 2 2019 "W" quarters i cant find in your quarter videos... it mocks me lol... i still barely see lowell quarters of any kind in my area for some reason :( haha
I don't do a lot of quarter searches anymore but I have found new W quarters in pocket change lately. Can't remember the last time I found silver. My nephew in PA used to work at a grocery store as a checker and he said he would often find silver coming through his register. Of course he swapped it out for clad right away!

The homestead quarter appears to be a really good example of an incused machine doubling. We do encounter a number of these questions in our Coin OPP FB group. I remember seeing a post where the doubling was far from the original letters even. Still cool looking even if it's MD. 😉

Banks in my town limit quarters i get for the registers at work. Ive been getting my change order in smaller towns that dont have limits on change. Today the box of quarters i got are shinny brand new 2019 quarter's
The Homestead is MD. On incuse devices, MD will present like a doubled die does on proud design elements. If you think about it, this makes a lot of sense, since proud design elements on the coin are incuse on the die, and therefore the "bounce" that causes machine doubling smushes part of the proud design on the coin and reduces the size of devices with the classic "shelf-like" pattern we're all familiar with. Incuse devices, however, are proud on the die, and die bounce actually enlarges (or properly doubles them) on the coin the same way that the hubbing process doubles the incuse design elements on a die that then become proud on the struck coin. So MD on incuse devices will look like doubling and can have all the features we associate with doubling on a proud doubled die, but it is in fact just MD. A proper incuse doubled die will actually REDUCE the devices, since the hubbing process will reduce proud design elements on the working die in the same way that MD reduces proud elements on a struck coin.
I found a source for quarters if you're unable to get bank rolls and you are mainly looking for varieties and not silver. Bill change machines at car washes. I found a minor error with two die breaks on it from some.
I was getting a few rolls of quarters at a time looking for 2020s and my bank branch only has customer wrapped rolls and I found a 1932 s Washington quarter in one of the rolls
Guys and gals.... finding coin is still easy. Go to your bank and ask to get the bags from the counting machines. The bank will save money on the fee given to them by Loomis, Guarda, and brinks... Love the videos rob... get that silver Sir

Rob I found a 2020 salt lake bay with a weird circle on the middle of it that goes through the the WE and LIBERTY I think it’s a die chip but I had another and it looked normal.

My bank won't let me wrap and return rolls and I don't know why :( Also I seem to have angered a few of the car wash managers by taking their quarters so don't know if I can keep getting stuff that way. Currently in a small town for college so getting coins is so much harder than before. Also I'm no expert but that homestead quarter is definitely something, I'd for sure have it looked at.

I think it is doubled die. But what do I know. Machine doubling looks a lot like doubled die to me. I have trouble distinguishing between the two. But I do learn a lot from you and your videos. Do you have a Homestead with a cud on the bottom of the bucket????? I have a couple.

That Homestead quarter is DEFINITELY an FS-RFT 101 DDR. At least, that is what I would call it. 😁

2 silver quarters out of $19,500 in quarters. Crazy!
Last month at my job, I found a 1962 Silver quarter in my register as well a 2020 W quarter on the same day. It was an amazing score.

The Homestead does look like a DDR. The H reminds me of an RPM type double, or the 1916-P DDO Buffalo nickel ✌️

When you checked the minnesota quarter on PCGS you were looking at a 2005 P While your'e quarter is a 2005 D. Nice little hunt :)
