THANK YOU!!! I've been dabbling in astrophotography for a little over a year now, I've been enjoying it, but I haven't really been getting the results I wanted. I've gotten good shots, just not GREAT shots. Sat and followed your workflow on this in one of my photos that I already processed previously. Quick revert, and about an hour of processing, and BAM!!! Your tutorial was EXCELLENT!! New subscriber here!!
Thank you so much for sharing in depth, I had to go through so many video to get what you were showing. and you did it one session. quite like the idea of using nik plugin to bring out the targeted colors, a lot easier. subscribed!!.
Excellent tutorial, thank you! I'm just wondering why you export your MW files as TIFFs before stacking them because I understand Sequator can handle RAW files.
Thanks! Sequator can indeed handle RAWs and some would say that they retain more detail. In my experience I get a more consistent workflow though if I do a basic WB change, etc. first and work with the tiffs. Haven't noticed any significant data loss there. But I'd advice to try both and see what works best for you!
Dank Frank! Werken in lagen is mede om die reden inderdaad bijzonder prettig vind ik. Ook het lokaal 'blenden' van waar je het effect wep en niet wilt hebben is vaak wel praktisch. Benieuwd naar je resultaten!
Nice Video Jeroen, thanks for the clear explanation! I’m definitely going to try this out. Few questions: Is the yellow glow in the foreground of the sky image from light pollution? And what were your settings for the sky and foreground pictures? Keep on going 💪
Thanks! The orange on the horizon is definately lightpollution. The whole reddish glow in the sky shots is from my astro modified camera, which is more sensitive to red than a stock camera. Not sure about the settings but probably a stack of 10 sets foreground iso 800, f4, 2 minutes. Foreground probably 2-4 minutes on f4, iso 1600-3200-ish.
Ha Joran, dank voor je reactie! Die heb ik helaas niet. Maar het leukste én meest leerzame is om lekker met je eigen bestanden aan de slag te gaan. Iedere camera is weer anders.

@@StarScaperPhoto all good mate, someone into milky way photography will do 1 some day maybe. Until then as I'm not a photoshop or lightroom user and not overly tech savvy, I'll continue with Canon DPP4 to edit before stacking in sequator and then gimp to combine with any light painted foreground images i take of the same scene. My profile photo is my latest from 27 April, 22x10sec, f2, iso 3200 sky, and 12x10sec, f6.3, iso 400 light painted house & immediate foreground and 2x30sec, f6.3, iso 400 low level lighting of the background trees all with a eos 200d and Tokina 14-20mm f2 lens

Having never done astrophotography editing, your video was very interesting and informative.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Hi,
Thanks for video,
These sky photos were taken from the h alpha + visible astro mod camera, right?
Yes, correct.
Very nice work my friend. I've subscribed to your channel . keep up the great work. Richard
Thanks so much Richard! That's so nice to read!
Mooi Jeroen, Wellicht eens kijken naar aanpassingslagen in photoshop. Kan je achteraf altijd makkelijk wijzigen.

Супер 👏 😊
Heb je toevallig ook een google drive link naar de stacked foto (of alle subs) met voorgrond die in deze video word gebruikt zodat ik kan oefenen?

Wish i could find something like this from someone using darkroom
You mean lightroom? 😉
@@StarScaperPhoto oops nope, i meant darktable. I thought darkroom because it's 1 of its features lol
@@robertleeimages ahh check. Never worked with darktable. Sorry man!
