No profanity, no drinking, and no movie trivia. Also Amc is more structured and straight to the point, where as the Schmoes Know movie show actually feels like a group of movie fans just hanging out and talking movies for two hours
I do also really like this being a FULL council with four people. It makes the conversation that much more interesting since there's more ideas and opinions being thrown around. Great episode and peace out mother Fs!
PearishableRecords Why would anyone hate you? Its your opinion. I disagree I really like the schmoes but AMC Movie Talk is bigger than John Campea, The Schmoes, or any single entity. This a Group effort, the whole onscreen team matters.
The Blocker Rantea The concept of AMC movie news is not all that original. What made it special was the execution. SO therefore I believe that it is not bigger than the personalities it houses. The Johns, Schnepps, etc. made the show because they were the show.
PearishableRecords It's not original, come from TV. The personalities do matter the most and as long as they keep housing them there everyone will keep supporting them. People may come and go, but as long as they live up to the idea, entertain, and inform then there doing their job as part of the team.
One anecdot about lee told by peter jackson; In the extended version, you see grima backstab saruman on top of orthanc, while shooting that scene jackson told lee to imagine he was being backstabbed and imagine the sound that would make. Lee responded '' I dont have to''....the guy was a member of a nazi hunting unit after the 2nd world war...what a legend
I'm actually pretty sure that there are plans for expanding the Star Tours area in Disney World's Hollywood Studios. I remember reading something about plans for a Mos Eisley Cantina in 2018.
We really don't need a trailer just yet, the movie is 6 months away and so far we've had two fantastic teasers. Maybe three to two months to release but not this early in the year. Maybe just show it in Hall H and then release it later on
Kemar Lee Agreed, this movie's in great hands and so far everything is relatively mysterious. They don't need to spam us with trailers and ads to get people to
Probably last trailer on black Friday weekend. The SDCC is going to be appearances, autographs, some talk about actors and actresses, other projects etc. With other comic book stuff.
Christopher Lee, Count Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, Wicker Man, Scaramanga, Count Dooku, Saruman, Sherlock Holmes, ETC ETC... the guy even made heavy metal albums in his 80's and 90's. World record for most cinematic sword fights. Top flight actor that never quit.
Some of the old republic stuff is still cannon. The Force Awakens trailer shows Revan's mask & Darth Bane appears in the Clone Wars cartoon which is cannon. Side note they also showed Vader's helmet which makes me think the new Sith villain is collecting old Sith relics. Maybe they'll use the Holocron plot device like when Bane found Revan's Holocron & used it to learn more of the dark side.
I really want the council to see this. When talking to a waiter at Disneyworld, I asked him about Star Wars land and Marvel land. He told me that because of copy right reasons and other reasons, there can not be a Marvel land in Florida. He also told me that in Disneyworld, they are going to add an Avatar segment in the park (which I find weird). When I asked him about Star Wars land, he said that the only thing he could tell me is that they have an empty segment of land and three hotels close to Disneyworld. Let the speculation begin!
+ThatGuy3 He said he knew about the Avatar park because they had a meeting with James Cameron in the restaurant, and he waiter was listening in. The Marvel thing I'm pretty sure is general knowledge, but I don't know how he knew about the 3 hotels and extra land
What happened to the TIE Interceptors we saw in ROTJ? Those were the advanced versions of the Darth Vader TIE from ANH, so why did the evolution of the TIEs to the Force Awakens version not follow the Interceptor design?
If you look through some of the Ralph McQuarry designs for the Falcon I'm pretty one of them is the same as what Sana Solo was flying... just a cool tidbit
Before the news today, I heard that Rogue One was going to be shot in Panavision 70mm, the same camera as Tarantino's Hateful 8 and it got me excited. Now with this news I am skeptical, because it will seem weird for the Episodes to be shot on film and the Anthologies to be shot digitally. That switch back and forth will make the anthologies seem not uniform with the rest of the series. If they really wan't IMAX they should use IMAX 70mm, it is the best looking format for shooting movies. Look at Interstellar, the way that format presents Sci- Fi is unreal. They should keep Star Wars all film.
So glad to see Tiffany Smith again. And great to hear she is so fond of Disneyland, just like I am! And I agree with her: the attractions will be FILLED with Star Wars themed flavor, especially since the new movie coming out later this year. I visit Disneyland Paris on a regular basis (I live in Holland, myself) and there were toys, books, comics etc for sale, including the ones based on Star Tours (I bought the Starspeeder 3000 at that time for 30 dollars) On a side note; I don't consider everything - as Tiffany puts it - wiped. Games like (Knights of) the Old Republic take place 4000 years before The Phantom Menace. That is a very long time. Unless BioWare (or any other company) is planning a full reboot to the series, I still consider the KotOR series canon. Good to hear Taris has been included in Tarkin; I am pretty sure it is the same planet from the KotOR games though. As on the Josh Trank issue: I do think he got fired. Not because of his 'mental problems', but rather due to creative difficulties. Remember, Josh also worked on Fantastic Four, which is coming within the next 2 months. If the reports about him were, I think FOX would have fired him as well. I do believe that he is a hard man to work with, but then again, I hear other directors as well; not a reason to fire him for that. Lastly, I wanted to say thank to Tiffany Smith and Schmoes Know for another great episode of AMC Jedi Council! Keep up your great work!! - Daniel
I dont think we will get a true trailer until September comic-con is going to focus mainly on the comics and toys aswell as season 2 of rebels which you might get to see the full s.2 ep 1 at the panel.
The Schmoes crew sitting around an AMC desk... This is like an extended SK Podcast post-credits scene hinting at a Movie News Connected Universe. Waiting for Alicia to show up with an eyepatch...
Funny to hear mark say he doesnt love the prequels when back on a schmoesknow podcast he was the only voice defending them. Growing wiser with age I see!
Best episode yet loved the enthusiasm, I was horrified to hear AMC might scuttle the youtube channel I feel with the big guns on the show today Jedi council being the millennium falcon just dodged an asteroid field and is warming up the Hyperdrive "Chewie we're home" love this panel and show, wake up AMC this content is pure quality.
No doubt it's Episode 8. If you've read the Making Star Wars leaks, it makes sense that they'd be in that location again. Also, the article mentioned they're filming in the fall--which is right around when they'd do 2nd unit location stuff (rumors suggest they'll be gearing up to film by year's end). Luke training Rey. Calling it.
Haha, The Schmoes have completely taken over this show. Atleast everyone on the panel loves Star Wars and knows their stuff well enough to discuss it intelligently and with some real vigor.
Arri 65 is just a larger format, bigger resolution of the popular Arri Flex Digital camera used by MANY major motion pictures. It is NOT like the 48 frame experiment like The Hobbit or anything. It will still very much LOOK like a film movie.
I can't wait for E3! Even though I don't care about Battlefront, I'm still curious to see how it plays. But I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of stuff to take away from E3 this year apart from just Star Wars: Battlefront news.
Hope they show the trailer at comic-con. Han Solo doesn't necessarily become an A-hole if he was truly married to that woman in my opinion, it's all about context. They could've eloped in a pseudo star wars Vegas when they were young or really drunk. She took it to heart, Han didn't. It could've been like you said a way to save his skin. He could've have had a kid without knowing it and left his "wife" because they separated but never divorced. Anything is plausible and could easily work in the confines of The Solo character we know and love. Josh probably got canned, but who knows at this point, it could easily be a Gone Girl situation for all we know. Doesn't really matter now that it's been confirmed. What matters is Josh's future projects, if they uphold the quality they've had for the most part and if he stays true to himself. If he has personal problems, I hope he finds the help he needs in order to function properly to come back full force on the professional scene. At least the whole affair is being handled with respect and decency (as any smart business savvied corporate heads would act given the proportions of the project involved). Great panel. Still going to miss John. Hope you guys collaborate with whatever projects he's envisioned for himself moving forward, I feel like the dynamic between you (Kristian) and John is great (especially when debating Star Wars). The contrast between both of your views as fans make for very interesting debates. Keep it up (and of course I give props to Ellis, Mark and Tiff the Smith).
Now that the expanded universe will be rewritten, do you guys think that the old republik will get a completly new story and if so, does it change the cultures within this timeline. I wonder, if they change the look of technology to make it look a bit more logical in case of its evolving process from then to "now".
Smith Lord! 😻 I've never been more willing to go to the dark side! In all seriousness, Tiffany is beautiful, intelligent, and I wish she was part of AMC. She's the best!
Yeah, a Hungarian guy will be our new villain (or at least his double)! The name Tóth Gyula is a really easily pronouncable name for us. It was really funny, when they tried to pronounce it.
Interesting. Hopefully the Alexa 65 will make "Rogue One" look good, 'cause Disney also decided that the next couple "Avengers" films will be shot entirely with it. From what I understand, IMAX is working very closely with ARRI towards that end. Just wish "Rogue One" was being shot that way. If it was, that would be the first full-length Hollywood IMAX feature instead of the "Avengers."
That Mark Ellis guy is hilarious! Kristian is also really cool. Tiffany is probably one of the smartest girls I've seen in documentaries, talk shows, etc. Also that new guy, Mark Reilly is also cool and funny but no one was catching his jokes.
I think it's a funny COINCIDENCE that Kristian Harloff has been right with almost every single one of his predictions and speculations. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? I'm paying extra close attention to that guy when he talks... P.S. Tiffany Smith is a beauty! And so fun! I love that girl
I don't like the way people are thinking of these Anthology films as vehicles for single characters. "A Boba Fett Movie" "An Obi Wan trilogy" I really hope they use the Anthology films to tell new and unique stories about many characters, just like the original trilogy did.
I just hope Finn is unrelated to the other characters in Force Awakens. I think the other characters are more likely to be related to the previous characters.
heavy storm Yeah I don't need having half the new characters being tied to the originals. Not everything needs to be relative. Have new characters for the sake of being new so Star Wars keeps moving forward.
Linerunner99 Precisely. It's a massive universe. In addition, we don't need every major character to be of some famous lineage either. I get the importance of the Skywalker line, and I am fine with that, but other main characters should be able to create their own history that will live on for generations.
I am getting that game for sure, just for the simple fact that it advances the story. Also C-3PO is between 70-80 years old depending on when you consider him being born. If you want to say he was born in episode 1 that here is the math, correct me if I am wrong please: Birth Ep. 1 + 10 years (Ep.1 - Ep. 2) + 4 years (Ep. 2 - Ep. 3) + 19 years (Ep. 3 - Ep. 4) + 4 years (Ep. 4 - Ep. 5) + 6 years (Ep. 5 - Ep. 6) + 30 years (Ep. 6 - Ep. 7) = Giving old Red Arm himself a life of 73 years. Which is old as shit for a person and I imagine super old for a droid seeing as how in only 3 years we went from the Samsung Galaxy S2 to the S6.
There is hope that at D23 there will be an announcement about expending Star Wars presence at Disney Studios in Florida. The word is that they will close down American Idol Experience and Indiana Jones Stunt Show and possibly NY Street and devote all that to Star Wars. Iger did say any expansion will most likely focus on the new movies. I just got back from Star Wars Weekend which I have attended probably 10 times, and this year was the best year yet. Disney is doing it right.
I feel like the SK podcast is three hours long today, I love it!
Sooooo this is basically another Schmoes Know podcast just with the AMC name?
J Wizard Phoenix Nope, there isn't any drinking or profanity.
J Wizard Phoenix Schmoes are taking over!!! first AMC next Screen Junkies muahahahahaha
^
I guess Disneyfied Schmoes Know
No profanity, no drinking, and no movie trivia. Also Amc is more structured and straight to the point, where as the Schmoes Know movie show actually feels like a group of movie fans just hanging out and talking movies for two hours
Good morning Jedi Council, I just just finished the show and love how informative y'all are! May the Force be with you all, Always
This is an amazing panel!!! Please bring these people back!
I do also really like this being a FULL council with four people. It makes the conversation that much more interesting since there's more ideas and opinions being thrown around. Great episode and peace out mother Fs!

The Schmoes finally did it, they have taken over AMC!!! #SchmoesVille
Ray's friggin' killin the graphics. They are AWESOME!
nsyncchick8877 I do my best. It's hit or miss sometimes but I'm glad you enjoyed these ones.
Schmoes filled Council... this is fantastic!
The new reign of AMC = Schmoes Know transfer
Don't hate me, just an observation.

This is the PRE-Schmoes Know Movie Show Jedi Council. I LOVE IT! We now get two Schmoes Know Movie Shows on Thursdays!!!!!
One anecdot about lee told by peter jackson;
In the extended version, you see grima backstab saruman on top of orthanc, while shooting that scene jackson told lee to imagine he was being backstabbed and imagine the sound that would make. Lee responded '' I dont have to''....the guy was a member of a nazi hunting unit after the 2nd world war...what a legend
THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THEM IS SO BEAUTIFUL ! BEST EPISODE/PANEL EVER
Tiffany's always a good time, thanks Tiff 😘
Wow! An all Schmoes panel :)
Schmoes Council this week. Love it!
I'm actually pretty sure that there are plans for expanding the Star Tours area in Disney World's Hollywood Studios. I remember reading something about plans for a Mos Eisley Cantina in 2018.
The Schmoes are taking over #JediCouncil I love it!
They actually are already starting on a Star Wars section at Hollywood Studios in Disney World! So pumped for it.
Love how the Schmoes essentially took over......nicely done folks. :-D
We really don't need a trailer just yet, the movie is 6 months away and so far we've had two fantastic teasers. Maybe three to two months to release but not this early in the year. Maybe just show it in Hall H and then release it later on
I'd be good with us just getting an official poster and another teaser spread out between now and the release.
Awesome! Full Schmoes Know panel! Nice preview for tonights Sk movie show.
RIP Christopher Lee, we'll miss him

Thanks for bringing up Lee first!
The Schmoes are taking over! Hell yeah! All this episode needs is Ken Napzok.
Tiffany Smith is so fucking perfect. Like god dammit

YESSS!!!!! YODI on Jedi Council!
I gotta give props to Tiffany for knowing her Star Wars shit. Color me impressed.

Awesome show i like it better with more people on the panel, it just means more conversations to delve into :D
The Schmoes family is in the house!
Tiffany is Back!

Schmoes Know panel!!! Love it!
Best Jedi Council Panel EVER!!!!
Agree with Tiffany. If Solo's biting it, Harrison will definitely make it to Comic-Con.
So glad to see Tiffany Smith again. And great to hear she is so fond of Disneyland, just like I am! You have to talk about the "Star Wars: The Old Repuplic" game trailer!
As a fan of the SWTOR, I would love more throw backs to those story lines.. Even if they drop a name like Malgus or Marr or something like that.

MArk holdin it down as an under rated co host. good on ya bro
Yey!! Really cool to have all these Schmoes!
Remember his very good friend, Peter Cushing, was in the first Star Wars film.
Haha, The Schmoes have completely taken over this show. Atleast everyone on the panel loves Star Wars and knows their stuff well enough to discuss it intelligently and with some real vigor.

He lived long enough, yet short enough to miss the Star Wars sequels. RIP sir.
My understanding was that the crew wants to return to Skellig Michael for Ep 8.
I hope that Island they are shooting on, is scenes from Naboo , I REALLY hope we see Naboo in any of the new movies !! Love, Love, Love Naboo !
BEST PANEL EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LET"S MAKE THIS THE PERMANENT PANEL
All schmoes is better
great episode guys!
Now that the expanded universe will be rewritten, do you guys think that the old republik will get a completly new story and if so, does it change the cultures within this timeline. I wonder, if they change the look of technology to make it look a bit more logical in case of its evolving process from then to "now".
2018 council needs to look like this, make it happen collider vid.
whoa, the force is strong with Darth Harloff with the Star Wars Land vision
he worked his ass off for it 😂
Schmoeville in town!
Smith Lord! 😻 I've never been more willing to go to the dark side!
In all seriousness, Tiffany is beautiful, intelligent, and I wish she was part of AMC. She's the best!
I'm with Tiffany, I think Harrison Ford will be at Comic-Con this year for The Force Awakens.
love todays Council!!!!!!
Yeah, a Hungarian guy will be our new villain (or at least his double)!
The name Tóth Gyula is a really easily pronouncable name for us. It was really funny, when they tried to pronounce it.
Haha, I love how Schmoey AMC has become.
Han being married would throw a new light on why he's being pursued by bounty hunters.
Actually the mobile game takes place in the Hoth/Bespin/Cloud City sector of the Galaxy.
That panel 👌
The Schmoes have hijacked the show!
And I love it!
An array on the council, but not an Idiot's Array. Can I get a rim shot?
Everett H-Top bah dum tss
Love this show. Big fan of all these personalities, but I miss John already and he hasn't officially left yet:(
Disney will release the final SW Trailer at Comicon. I would bet money if I had money it. The movie comes out Dec. 2015. Makes perfect sense.
Did you say the LAST episode???
52:49 Harloff is the Flash, confirmed.
Nice, Schmoes represent!
I don't like the way people are thinking of these Anthology films as vehicles for single characters. "A Boba Fett Movie" "An Obi Wan trilogy" I really hope they use the Anthology films to tell new and unique stories about many characters, just like the original trilogy did.

Totally agree with Kristian.
awesome shirt @christian harloff
What I understand with cannon on battlefront is that all maps and bios will be cannon although all non story game play is not cannon.
I am getting that game for sure, just for the simple fact that it advances the story. Also C-3PO is between 70-80 years old depending on when you consider him being born. If you want to say he was born in episode 1 that here is the math, correct me if I am wrong please:
Birth Ep.
I guess schmoes is taking over AMC. Yes!
I'll take whatever Kristian says as the truth. every rumor or theory he is right about haah. Keep up the great work guys!
Anyone else download Words with Friends just to play against Ellis?
Hats off to Christopher Lee
There is hope that at D23 there will be an announcement about expending Star Wars presence at Disney Studios in Florida. The word is that they will close down American Idol Experience and Indiana Jones Stunt Show and possibly NY Street and devote all that to Star Wars. Iger did say any expansion will most likely focus on the new movies.
I just got back from Star Wars Weekend which I have attended probably 10 times, and this year was the best year yet. Disney is doing it right.
How come a mouse keeps moving on the screen ?
