Very cool to be able to say that I was in attendance for the first game of the Saban era. I had forgotten that Alabama scored on the very first play from scrimmage with Saban as head coach. A sign of things to come!
I was at this game. Place was electric and we were playing a FCS team. People had hope again. Little did we know what was about to happen... After “The Dark Decade” it was beyond welcome...
Still going strong 2021 back to back SEC Champions 12-1 with a team full of freshman and sophomores 18-20 years old barely out of high school. We’ve only lost 1 game so far in 2 seasons hope we beat Cincinnati and Michigan/Georgia (would be a rematch)!!!
