hi great video :) Im german, so here is a little guide how to pronounce leuchtturm: say it like "Loy-sh- tuRm" the "Leucht" is like loysht i hope that helps somewhat haha
Oh, the notebook conversation!! 🥰 I loved this video, and your questions are wonderful! My answers: * I really like Moleskine, and have used their 5x8 hardcover for several years. The layout I like is week at a glance on the left side, with a blank page on the right. Their blank page has lines, which isn't my first choice, but it's okay. * How I use it is as an appointment calendar plus journal; if I need extra space to write directions or something, it's available, and whatever doesn't get used as calendar space becomes a journal. I use multiple colors when I write (hooray for multi-pens!), and I'm a big fan of stickers. * I've watched enough of your videos that I'm jumping into a bigger size for next year. 😱😱😱 * For 2023, I got one of the fantastic custom cork covers from Brie at Documented Journey: mine is wheat cork, lined with olive green felt, with the spine in Sunflower and a cork "button" on the elastic closure. On the right is my FULL-sized Moleskine softcover calendar with my usual format, and on the left side is the Moleskine blank softcover. It's forest green and came in a three-pack, so we'll see how many of those I will use during the year. I'm pretty excited about doing a monthly page like you've been doing, in addition to the weekly spread and whatever daily pages I end up doing. I'm glad to have more space. My cancer journey has been taking up so much space in my 5x8 hardcover that not much else is showing up there, and I really need my journal to show more than just cancer. My chemotherapy starts in November and will go through March, most likely. With God on my side, I'm hoping to do some art every day through it, even if it's just adding a sticker to a ballpoint doodle. 💛🧡❤️
Love this Lori-Louise! Thank you for sharing. Your cover for 2023 sounds absolutely gorgeous. I love the sunflower pattern. And I'm so glad you're going to try monthly pages! They really are a game-changer :) I will be praying for you through your cancer journey. You are strong, and God is with you!

I use a traveling style with only a few inserts at a time, when it gets full I take them out, label the first and last dates and toss in in a box I keep in my cedar chest. I mostly do stream consciousness writing, to regulate myself and make small promises to myself(like changing my sheets or folding laundry).
When I first started journaling, I would just use regular school notebooks because they were cheap and seemed to work best for my amount of writing. As I’ve been journaling these past couple of years I moved to the moleskine xl and I believe it was inspired because of your creative journaling videos :) so happy I switched to it and love your videos!
I love videos about notebooks 🥰 My favorite size is close to an A5 (mine is 5.5x8.5). They are by the brand Eccolo. I usually fill up 3 of them per year but I also have journals for prayers and gratitudes. Thanks for sharing this info Kelsey!
@@MyAbidingJournal Oh, nooooo!! 😵💫 I'm so new at trying the larger size that I neeeeeeed you to stay in it so that I don't get lost in all that space!! Woe! Woe is me!!
Hi Kelsey. I've been watching a few of your videos and find it inspirational and helpful as this year, 2023, will be the first year I actually do my first true Bible journaling. I've started other on other journals but have never really finished them. I do that a lot, but I also want to use stickers and ephemeras on my journal, so I think I'll start with an A5 and work from there. I'll check my local bookstore and see or just order it from Amazon. Thank you so much for the info. I hope to perhaps do a video of my journaling process this coming year. Happy New Year to you and your family. Many blessings. 🙏❤️
I started with A5 spiral, after a few years I am using B6 .I used spiral notebooks, now I am ok with no spirals, but thinking of something with rings. Thank you for the video, a lot of things to consider, didn t realise that.
For me, I actually love changing sizes. I find changing notebooks after awhile keeps me interested. Like I was loving my tn, and 60-200 pages is my happy place, but then I just have lost interest. So I’m thinking I’ll get a B5, since I haven’t experimented with that size yet. I think maybe archer and olive since I’m using one of their neapolitan notebooks for my reading journal for the new year and am enjoying the different paper colours and paper quality. Haven’t tried a fountain pen on it yet, but I’m hopeful.
New to you and your channel. I def like the way you do a month's journaling. I can't do it daily. Thank you so glad I found you. Where did you get your great wooden organizer?
Currently in a Nanami Cafe Note B6 Slim with a 119 Leather Co. cover. This is my 3rd B6 slim and I love it! The size is perfect and the tomoe river paper is dreamy along with the sturdy binding.
What brand Of notebook do you use for your travelers notebooks? What do you use them for? I e seen some of your memory notebooks and they seem to be the Moleskine XL.
I use a lot of different journals for different things. I have a bullet journal from Amazon called Dotted (which is currently out of stock, but it was cheap). This one is my emotional dumping ground (happy days and ranting). I'm using a dotted notebook from Notebook Therapy as my reading journal. This one is fine, but I probably won't get another journal from them, just because it's expensive and you have to have it shipped to the US. Also, I think they messed up and gave me the wrong size because it's just a weird shape. I have a dotted journal from Archer & Olive as my manga reading journal. I have the size 8x8 in this which is more square-shaped. I love this journal for my manga reading because I use anime stickers. I love how much space it gives me to write my feelings along with the anime stickers. It only has 160 pages, but I still really love it. I'm probably going to get Archer & Olive as my reading journal for 2023. I'm looking at the B5 size, which also has 160 pages. Then finally I just bought a journal from Leather Village, which is from Amazon. I plan on using it as a writing journal/ junk journal. This journal is 13X8 so it's a beast of a journal. This one is more vintage and the pages are none dotted. They're also deckle. I don't have any thoughts on this one because I bought it so recently, but if anyone has tried it, let me know. As you can see, I'm doing a lot of experimenting with what I like vs what I need. I prefer the dot grid vs the lined paper just because the dots almost fade into the page when I write, so they aren't visible when I'm done with the page. I just find the lines to be distracting.
Have you heard of the Leuchterm notebook A4+? They sell it at Anderson Pens (US) & Appelboom (Europe) where its a little cheaper because of the exchange rate & 15% discount if you review one of the items in their site. The notebooks usually come in black, blue & red with Lined, Dot Grid & Blank. I have 2 myself i have yet to get to because i'm working in other journals right now, women arent the only ones with piles of notebooks, lol. God bless you, Kelsey!
I love a lot of different sizes but I think my favorite is A5 size or A5 slim/standard travelers notebook size. I sometimes use smaller size, like A6, Pocket or passport size for journals to have in my purse. If it hadn't been for the fact that I use several notebooks at the same time, I would have had to use an A5 or larger. Because I love to write. Some days I can write a lot 🤭
I currently write in an A5 "Believe" bible journal. I just like the quality of the journal. The journal would still be fine without the embossed "Believe" quote. For what and how I write, I can't justify using the A4 size. I write for personal reflection and for personal growth. I'm not writing a tome.
Recently I have been bouncing back and forth between the large size Moleskine (A5 size) and the pocket size Leuchtturm. (I cant pronounce it either so dont sweat it! 😵💫🤪😂) The one and only journal that I have ever finished cover to cover is a pocket size Leuchtturm.
I have the notebook but not really sure how to start journaling I’ve never done journaling before and I want to do a Bible journal and a personal journal could you tell me how to start that
