Lovely to hear an Italian pronounce the place names & see the nature, beautiful buildings & scenery...thanks for sharing Marina X
Beautifully shot & edited. Very enjoyable--watched it 2x! Thanks for taking us along. Look forward to new adventures when you receive your dog cart addition!
Thank you 🤗
I am a 51 year old woman and I just bought myself an electric, fat tyre bike....AND I LOVE IT!! Getting older, I'm not nearly as fit as I used to be but I've always loved bikes so I decided to spoil myself and having the added power with pedal assist is a game changer. I don't have the Himi, but something similar and although it's not a cheap purchase, it's by far the best large purchase I have made in a long time. I only wish I had such beautiful spaces to cycle like you do, very jealous ;) Also, thanks for sharing your trip, Italy is one of my most favourite destinations in the world but I live in South Africa, so it's not easy (or affordable) to travel as often as I'd like, so totally enjoyed seeing a different side which I've not been to. xx
I'd love to visit South Africa one day! Glad you are also having a good time on your bike 🚴🚴🚴
@@WildSheGoes-I also live in SouthAfrica, if you ever want to come here let me know, I would love to host you.
I live in the beautiful Midlands of Kwazulu Natal in South Africa, and you would find amazing trails to cycle around here. We'd host you too.
I love South Africa!!
It’s beautiful as well!
As someone born and raised by the sea, but with roots in the Highlands, I often feel in need of visiting the 'other' place! I'm lucky because I don't have to travel far to do so - but it is lovely to see how easily the electric bike allows you to make that journey. Electric bicycles seem a great idea - it's the electric scooters (or the people on them) that are pretty dangerous in parks, as the zoom silently up behind you, missing you by centimetres. Hope to see some of you newly regenerated creativity soon Marina - best wishes from Scotland.
Yes I agree about the scooters!
@@WildSheGoes Unfortunately, I think it is the Humans. Scooters, Cars, Bikes, and just walking, it seems some do not think of others or too much of themselves.
I think you'd earned a break away after all that DIY at home. Beautiful scenery, exactly what you needed. And a lovely welcome home from Vongola xx
Magic scenery, beautiful place for a bike ride, I agree with you about the yachts but hey ho!, thanks for taking us along it was a pleasure 👍
Lovely Vlog
Thank you for sharing 🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾
Love that yacht comment 🙂
Nice to see you again I remember you when you started in the van with you dog hope all is well stay safe and stay healthy one life enjoy blessed be
Thank you Marina very much for taking us with you to some of the less touristy spots of the beautiful Venetian !agoon. Stunning vlog and scenery!
A short little trip, but on the beauty impact scale....WOW! Thanks Marina for sharing, and yes, I can see why you got emotional. ❤
Thank you Marina....that was excellent...you may be interested to know that in Ireland there are 6 Greenways/cycle paths.....the longest one is 130K.....you could visit sometime...also I was thinking of you when I read about Cumberland Council...they are forbidding the collection of items on the beaches...i.e. shells and pebbles...I think that the fine is £1,000...Yikes!!🤩
That reminds me of the towns that wanted to forbid the collection of rainwater - somewhere in the western US, don't know if they passed that (absolutely bizarre) law or not.
Thanks for taking us along. You always choose such interesting music ... thanks!
That's a great bike you have considering all the use you get out of it and able to go on holidays with it. Glad you mentioned the snails. I thought I was the only mad one that goes around the garden at night with a lamp catching snails and slugs 🐌... great video always enjoy them
😂🐌😂
My husband is a life long daily cyclist but as he has MS was finding some days particularly difficult. He was very anti electric but I persuaded him to try one at a bike shop and it’s changed his cycling life. He can still be out on a bike even when his legs aren’t great and he’s so happy with it that I’ve now got one (life long NON cyclist!). I love it and it’s something we can now do together.
Hi, I riding a Himiway, and I love it. I'm happy they sponsor you. Keep up your very good video's.
Vongola is such a happy dog! Good that he found you ❤
He really is!
Thanks for this video. I would have been on team non-electric... but, I'm getting older so.... I really appreciate seeing what you can do with a little help from the electric bike. Even us old guys can think outside-the-box sometimes.
Evening Marina, Yes you do have a little slice of paradise there! Would love to visit Italy one day or europe for that matter... maybe one day! But it's nice how we get to travel with you on your trips and see the sights with wonderfully shot footage and camera work that you do.That bike is a great asset and very green rather then using the car, but as you showed they look very expensive too!! A doggie trailer for Vongola now thats gona be a game changer for trips out and about. Thanks again for a great video. Health@Happiness to you both
I've been riding electric bikes for years. Love your fat tyre bike. Often wondered about those Venetian islands. Lovely bike paths.
Again, so so so happy for you and cuty Vongola ❤
Dear Marina a beautiful episode with great views of Venice. Your photography is very good also drone coverage. You make very good use of the electric bike and the large tyres seem well suited to your needs. Must give that bike serious consideration would be good replacement for my car donated to Ukraine.
Oh what memories!
As someone born/raised in Europe but now decades in USA / California, I have extremely fond memories of traveling solo in Italy and particularly Venezia 20-30 years ago. Always tried to go “off season” and don’t mind cloudy/drizzly weather. Never worried for once second of being female and traveling alone :-)
But then more and more crowds came and now? Sadly, I wouldn’t touch Venezia with a 10’ gondola oar!!!
Your spontaneous bike trip and great drone footage were a wonderful reminder of the beauty of the lagoon (except for those ridiculous ‘big boy boats’)
Thank you for sharing …. From a new patron :-)
🥰🥰🥰
Europe has never interest me but the country you live in is absolutely gorgeous. I’m very jealous of your mountains. It is beautiful. I’m so happy you have your puppy you two are meant for each other.
Marina your videos are always so calm and peaceful
We have so much joy watching your progress, we all inspired to have our freedom and peace of mind thank you so much
Your voice heals my ears. Thank you for sharing your experience with us ❤️🩹🙏🏽
🥰🥰🥰
I love your travelling vlogs. I nice to see how interested places you reached with your super cool bike!😊
To answer your question, Marina, I usually like to go with traditional bikes but as I'm getting older (67!) I prefer to have some assistance ... so electric it is! 😃👌
You're the best!❤
Venice 1985, I was guiding a group of American students to our hotel near the Rialto bridge. It was the fourth tour back-to-back over eight weeks, I had all the documents, receipts, name lists, itineraries, my passport, monies (pre-Euro), Walkman etc in a company tour bag. Leaning over the side of the vaparetto, the bag strap broke, the bag fell, bounced on the railing and *splash* into the water. A boatman picked it up before it sank and I went to the police station the next day to collect what was left. Leaving Venice the following day coincided with a visit from Pope John Paul II, all the vaparetto drivers went on strike and I had to walk the group all the way from Rialto to Piazzale Roma to board our bus. Gotta love Venice.
Have you ever tried sailing? Good way to see places off the beaten track. Obvs it has other limitations, but I enjoy the slow tourism!
Never but would love to!
Vongola's (I'm sorry if I spelled his name wrong) reaction when you got home after your trip was so sweet! I love the idea of getting a little trailer so that you can go on adventures together with your e-bike, I wonder how he would take to it. Thank you for sharing your trip it was lovely to see some of the beautiful Italian countryside, and I share your thoughts about tourist honeytraps, it's similar with places like St Ives in Cornwall and Windermere in Cumbria here in England. I always prefer going to the quieter and less popular places anyway as big crowds stress me out and I hate feeling like I'm on a conveyor belt going from 'must see' site to 'must do' activity.
You got the name perfectly right 🤗
I love your bike !
spill the tea on the yachts girll!! getemmmm!!
Hermoso viaje en bicicleta. Gracias por compartirlo
Hi Marina, thank you for another excellent video. Love from Ellan Vannin/the Isle of Man.
I understand what you are saying about toerists in Venice. Amsterdam is getting too crowded as well. Toerisme is putting me off traveling more and more 😢
I wondered if you would pick sea glass, when you said you were giving to the beach 😆😆, reminders of Seaham perhaps?
There wasnt much unfortunately 😩
I remember last year when a few of the youtubers I watch got these Himiway bikes. Most of them did one video and that was it. But with you and your channel we have really seen it several times and its become integrated it into your way of life. If it wasn't for your channel I would have forgotten the Himiway brand very quickly and whenever I see you using it, it looks good fun and motivates me to get off the sofa. I keep meaning to buy an ebike, and maybe one day it will be a Himiway.
I honestly didnt think I would use it as much either but now whenever I have somewhere to go I first think If I can get there by bike first! Just need to see if Vongola will enjoy being towed 😂
@@WildSheGoes Part of the reason it's become so useful must be that you live up a mountain. Although at times it does look you've chosen to turn the assist level down to clearly get some exercise 😁. I'm my assist level would be on max most of the time.
As for towing vongola I think some heavy duty straps might be needed to ensure they are able to handle the need to go and sniff something or chase a cat 🤣
watching your videos always remembers me of things that are important for me =)
❤️❤️❤️
Nice biketrip you made! Have you seen these single wheel cargo trailers. They take up less space sideways and with only one wheel they follow your own bike track better too.
I'd be concerned about stability on bends? I'd hate for Vongola to tipple over 😂
I enjoyed your video, thanks for posting 👍
What a lovely trip ! Its so good to see all the different places you take us to, thank you so much ❤❤❤
A helmet for hunting snails 😭🐌
PS: team classical/unelectric bicycle! I love my traditional girly city bike, with its leather seat, brown basket that I customised with cherry blossom (fake) flowers all around! It makes me do exercise and people tend to steal them less (as I live in London and it hasn’t got stolen in over 3 years even though I lock it outside in the street).
Hi Anais! I think I would also have a normal bike if I lived in a city. It makes more sense!
@@WildSheGoes 🤗
… and I think I would have an electric bike if I would live close to the mountains or in a city with lots of hills, and if it would be gifted to me 🤣🤭
😘
Oh yes, it is good to get out and about sometimes. Tourism is really spoiling so many ancient places.
Jolie balade merci😊
Great video with super camera angles that capture the beauty of the place you live. Very well done. I doubt I will ever visit Italy as much as I would have loved to. Doing well to dodge the crowds.
Wonderful video! You're a good role model for those of us who get into a discontented rut sometimes - go on an adventure! (BTW - when I see billionaire yachts I have a negative reaction as well. Excessive wealth disparities makes me angry!)
Loved this Marina, especially with all the place names & details you gave...thank you. We have bikes that are very similar, frame is a little bit different but we have the same big tyres & batteries. My partner is 6ft2 & very big & as we are in our 50s they give us the help we need 😅 so they are perfect, we love them & take them on the back of our motorhome every trip we go on ❤🚴♀
Thanks for your videos...so glad you have Vongola!
That was an unexpected bonus, Marina…. Fabulous Venice lagoon trip… that’s the way to get out of a rut!!!!….Such beauty all around… Have always had an affinity with Italy, because of my Paternal Great Grandfather who was Italian… who came to England looking for work as a cabinet maker… he was very skilled….. Anyway… the journey helped you re focus….and return to that precious mountain home…and Vongole, of course…..saw you collecting sea glass , by the way… good opportunity!!!..,,Interesting section on the electric bike… they are a fantastic addition to forms of transport and really suited to travelling ‘light’… for your adventurous spirit… and if this one is what you need… stick with it….Vongole… looks chilled out… but I imagine he missed you…and is pleased that you came home….hope to see him with you on adventures in future… How lovely is that hand carved wooden spoon with you and Odie sitting together !!!… Hats off to the person who made it.. and sent it to you…👏👏👏…, Sue (UK)🚲🚲🚴
Thank you Sue!
What a great little get away and I imagine puppa was missing you aswell 😊.
I had my sights on driving over to Italy next year in my little van,I'm no sure looking at how crowded those towns were if its such a good idea now,I was hoping for tranquility and calm and not busy busy towns packed out with tourists..hmm maybe I need to do more research first.
Hope you had a fab time and regarding the bike I think they definitely have a place in the community as do pedal cycles.
It's a each to his own I think.
Have a great weekend.
Hi Jane, there are plenty of quiet places in Italy, just need to avoid cities and hyper touristy spots. Look around "appennini". Not too touristy and gorgeous places to visit
@WildSheGoes Thank you and I will definitely 😊.
Lovely video, thank you for sharing your beautiful trip! I have never used an electric bike but I think it's better than a car - not sure how it would work with the terrible English weather though!
Have you heard much about the Campi Flegri volcano? I hope you are far away from it....X
Luckily I am very far from it!! Scary scary
@@WildSheGoes So glad you are! Thoughts are with all Italians X
RIconosciuto Treviso dalle mura! Quell'isola ottagonale fantastoca in caso di zombie-apocalypse!XDXDXD
Vero!!! 😂
Thank you for another wonderful video!
Off topic: electric bikes, scouters etc are not allowed in the UK's trains 😢
Oh no! I didnt know this!
I love biking; been riding all my life and I’m 70 😊. Might go to an electric…🚲
Thx for your videos! ❣️
I like both standard and electric bikes.
Im getting older now so have given my grandson the standard one now and hope to get more use out of my electric one.
Im looking forward to seeing how your dog likes to travel on the trailer. Also if u make a trailer for camping with id like to see a video on that.
Best wishes from N.E. England
Beautiful videography.
Thank you very much!
La prochaine fois il faut emmener vongola dans la charrette du vélo 😅
150 kg payload?! Looking forward to your European camping trip!
Awesome 😎
Love my E-Bike, City Cargo/Commuter. I have had all kinds of Bikes, from motorized (motorcycles) to pedal. But you can get all the exercise you want with an electric, while also having the capabilities to cruise home after a hard day or with a heavy load.
If your tire pressure is to be higher than 30 lbs. I suggest riding it to a fuel station with a compressor for the air. My tires are rated at 50 lbs, and those small hand pumps can't do it. Those tall pumps you stand on with a gauge can. But you would only want to carry the small one in case you need air, then pump it up as far as you can until you can get to a compressor.
On dry sand, you can lower the tire pressure a bit for better traction. But then again you will need to re-air them afterwards.
Thank you for those tips! I really am quite ignorant on bikes, I just love riding them 😂
@@WildSheGoes They're good for the whole body, from the spirit to the physical.
I have heard there are reusable small air canisters you can refill after using. I am used to pumping my own tires. But that would be a great thing to have with a tire kit for road trips, beach rides, or muddy trails. If they are small enough to carry.
And...You're Welcome.
Beautiful!
Brava❣️🤣
I have a Carrera E bike. Love it but would like fat tyres like yours. I live on Salisbury Plain, NR Stonehenge so have endless miles of trails on my doorstep. Keep up with the videos. Love your outlook on life.
Nice video! Thank you! The problem with ebikes is i cant flight with them
True!
I am with you on the superyachts! 🤗
Be careful letting go of the handlebar when the rack is loaded. Tankslappers aint no joke.
Hi , mines a 500w " Ghost " 👌😎😁
Very nice video...
Hope you remembered to take the charger
❤
I echo your feelings (or what I suspect you feel) about the super yachts 😡 Thumbs up for electric bikes too as they can replace cars on so many journeys.
🚲🚲🚲
Marina how strange you are talking about Venice and turist galore. Just yesterday we were talking about it and I suggested to once a week Venice should be closed so the people can have they rest day. Not sure money wise if they want to do it but I think either that or every quarter one week off, no turist just locals. So far I am enjoying your journey. Now I am going to go back watch you on the boat. Yes those big monsters are should not be there in Venice waterways. You should start a patition aganst them. Not just ugly but underwash the canals Venice can sink further. Lets us help to stop those monsters. I would sign up. Glad you recharged yourself. Bike are not for me never could learn to ride them and where I am now no place to ride. Enjoyed your outing. 🎉❤🫂
I think the Venetians would love your idea!!!
Lovely! I'm curious, where did you sleep? I would love to do free camping but I heard its illegal in Italy, do you know if it is tolerated? i live in verona!
Hi! I booked cheap hotels. I think those areas are far too populated to attempt wild camping (plus in Veneto it is forbidden)
👏
luvu s0 much!!
👋😘
Ah without voltage dont mean much.
OMG Marina, please tell me where you were at timestamp 10:36 and 11:36! They are the most beautiful views I have ever seen! Thanks
At 10.36 and 11.36 I was in Austria on my way to Innsbruck, dont remember exactly where though!
Poor Venice! The cruise ships are the worst offenders.
Agree
so when you getting a dog box so he can go with you on the bike ? and don't forget to get him some shades lol
😂😂😂
❤
Ciao Marina, nice scenery, is it possible to take a boat from Pellestrina to Chioggia?
Yes it is!
@@WildSheGoes👍
🙏🙏💎💎💖💖
I hope you cleaned your bicycle thoroughly after riding it in the ocean. Unless, of course, you are getting rid of it.
😂 she's not getting rid of me any time soon
As a keen cyclist, I do find it a little sad that young and healthy people need an electric bike. You don't get that fit using these .... not a criticism but just an observation. Enjoy the video's, keep up the good work.
I also would never ride my bike for trip longer than 20km and would use my car much much more (i could never do my groceries and ride up my very steep hill with a normal bike, i would just use my car) To me it's not only about exercise, its about using a different method of transport. That said I do get your point, I guess it depends a lot on why and how the bike is used 🚲
@@WildSheGoes Fair enough, everyone is different .... point taken. 😀
You don't have to have the power assist on 😊
Oh what memories!

Team ebike no question. Those bloody idiots think they do something healthy breathing in the dirty air with 5 times the intensity...ebikes are the perfect solution for city transport like it's literally all you want. Infact it was shown that it's even more carbon friendly than pedaling. The human has around 25% efficiency while the bike has say 90%. You simply gobble more resources by pedaling on avocado toast than chargin the bike from the grid. And they get sooo pi$$ed off with ebikes and want to force their stupid conventional bikes on everyone. I mean a normal bike is good recreationally if that's your thing but as a means of actual viable transport is a joke and an ebike is also a normal bike so what stops your from recreational use? Ebikes could be the thing that gets people out of their cars and it should be way more pop imo. I see zero point in buying a regular bike tbh...(sure if the electric gets stolen it'll suck maybe that's the only downside)
I mean I definitely wouldn't use those words but yes, I think of e bikes as a substitute to cars not as a substitute to exercise
I prefer to use an electric bike than a regular one. Off topic, are you single?
I am very interesting watch your video because i am also youtuber
I am from sri lanka . I love your videos .
This is just an ad for bikes yous are all the same money is goal
I've got bills to pay like you do.
You truly have a serene and magical life. Am always in awe of your bike trips and your ability to get up and go.
Quite the greeting when you arrived home. Your style of travel videos is relaxing to watch.
Rest after time off is important as traveling can be more taxing than work. Is two months to get your Italian drivers license a record breaking time?
Take care and have a wonderful summer Marina.
Thank you Mike! Let's just say that the driving licence ordeal caused a lot of unnecessary stress and frustration due to italian bureocracy.
This video reminds me of Thomas Heaton (photography) videos in that it makes me want to get out and explore!
