Tien is a true warrior. Tien was willingly to fight opponents that were far stronger than him like King Piccolo, Nappa, Cell, and Super Buu. They should've gave Tien tap unleash his dormant potential in DBS, and that he can be about strong as Super Saiyan Goku during the Tournament of Power.
Krillin and Roshi have pretty concretely retired from fighting. Tien never did. He has been training the entire time. He does nothing else apart from when hes teaching at his Dojo. The man needs more love.
My favorite character is Piccolo but Tien is a CLOSE second. I love piccolo and his character development and the speech bubbles in the manga, and he deserved Orange Piccolo. Tien definitely deserved more screen time, and if he got more screen time he might have just usurped Piccolo.

You see it not just the characters being buried, it's the transformations as well, it's even worse than shit. Here's what they should've done; ssj 3 is the last sayian transformation, legendary only belongs to broly, if you wanna add more transformations make em like ssj4, ones that physically change the whole appearance of the character. Secondly introduce more techniques, techniques that are on par with ssj forms, UI should be a technique that Tien can master, introduce another technique that Yamcha masters and another that Krillin does and so on. Thirdly, the villains have the 2nd party fight em on fair terms as well, fair as in power levels. Forcing the villain to transform so the more power Z warriors then take em on OR introduce more than one villain, a second or third in command, that way one group fights one villain while the other fights another and the main characters fight the main villain
Tien shutting down Semi Perfect Cell for a whole HOUR is when he became one of my top favorite characters. on top of blocking a blast from Buu-tenks, my boy Tien can HANG. i really hope they buff him in Super thats more than just giving him extra arms

Tien is a beast. By far one of my favorite characters, though i had the misfortune of watching Z before the OG so i didn't get to see his full story. I'm so glad i went back and watched it. About his Tri Beam, and life force using abilities in general, Roshi talked about it in the dub of the anime (for what it's worth.) That the tri beam would actually take years off the user's life in exchange for that tremendous power. So not only does that mean that Tien is willing to risk his life just using the attack, but he's willing to sacrifice years of his future for the right cause. Damn if that doesn't make him even more of a roll model

about the tribeam. even in Dragonball Tien used in 1st fight against Kid Goku. and Goku shocked maybe terrified like everyone in the tournament. he barely dodged it (which was a tactic of the role model to ringout Goku). Years later in their 2nd fight, Goku ask Tien if he would use the tribeam again? Tiens response was: I wanna defeat you! Not blow you into million pieces. (funimation dub). That should tell something about its power. The tribeam is a legendary technique. Master Roshi even braced himself when Tien was about use it 1st time.
When k saw tien was going to be in the ToP back when it first aired, i got excited thinking they were finally going to do him justice and maybe give him some mystical abilities related to his 3rd eye or something. Still love Tien though.

It's explained during its first appearance in Dragon Ball to be one of the Crane School's most dangerous techniques, drawing on the user's life force to bolster their power. THAT is why the Shin Kikouhou had enough power to pound Cell, and it's also why Tenshinhan nearly instantly died following the attack. Edit: So the Shin Kikouhou didn't multiply Ten's power; it was just that powerful because Tenshinhan was squeezing his own fucking soul for every drop of energy it had.

Dragon Ball should take a page from Yu Yu Hakusho’s Dark Tournament Arc in terms of of treating the non-main characters. Hiei, Kuwabara, and Kurama never got as strong as Yusuke but all three had great fights and moments to shine. I don’t need characters like Tien to be as strong as Goku again, but at least give them good fights and moments to shine again like in OG Dragon Ball
I would've loved to see Tien make an appearance in the Future Trunks arc. Just have him and a couple of the surviving Crane School students to line up and do a Student-Master Tri-Beam on Fusion Zamasu and you've got one hell of a cool scene (even if it does nothing)

Unlikely. The Tri-Beam draws on his life energy. It's a hack move. It didn't actually damage Cell, either. It just held him down. Using standard techniques he'd get rolled by any Cell Saga villain.

Tien holding down semi perfect cell and doing absolutely no meaningful damage is not a good enough feat to prove he could beat imperfect cell. This video has convinced that Tien is a goddamn rolemodel! JK Earthlings are always inspiring characters in Dragon Ball (the good ones) since they always step up when the call to action was made. It doesn't matter if they are overwhelmingly outmatched. They show up even if all they can do is be a cheerleader.
They need to hire die-hard fans and make em write a spin-off involving the humans, plus Bulma lending technology. I wanna see them having to strategize to place Bulma's ki-field disruptor so that Krillin land can his final Distructo Disc or Tien his Kikoho.
If they did an ark where Tien goes around the universe visiting the most esoteric fighters, learning the oddest and most hacked fighting techniques from magical and spiritual fighters in the strangest nooks and crannies of the universe, he could make a massive return as a kind of Hit/Guldo type character, who might not be as strong and fast as other fighters, but can still keep up with the Z fighters through his new rosta of hacks and techniques, like old DB used to showcase regularly I'd watch it. It would be a massive detour from the current decade+ of pallet swaps. It would reinvigorate the whole series. Maybe him and Krillin, off to travel the far fling unknowns, like a GT style trip around the universe, in order to learn new styles from the farthest reaches of the multiverse. Gradually Tien building his pier and speed onto Krillin's level as Krillin also increases his power. Maybe even visiting hell to find ancient long dead heroes. It would be spectacular, and a very welcome break from Vegeta and Goku changing colours and forgetting stuff they've known for years. They could come back to join a totally new arc where the old team have to chip in together with their new skills against a totally new kind of threat. Remember back in the old days, from DB through the sagas to Namek? How many changes and twists there were? Back when it was good?! Back down here in reality we'll get nothing like that, just more of the exact same story written over and over again in different colours.
They should add Tenshinhan to the group of saiyans. while he isn't as powerful as any of them, he does have decades of martial arts experience. He defeated goku and became champion WITHOUT any potential unlocking of his power. Combine his experience and the wise mind of a martial arts master with the saiyan's potential to grow stronger, what you get is someone with no flaws.
Tien is one of the few characters that haven't gone through a potential unleashed yet. Tien should also be able to shoot ki blasts from his eyes. Tien should have mastered multi-form to fight with multiple arms or legs. Also to massively reduce the power loss when spliting into clones
If tien actually has a human god form or if he has awakened his Third Eye and gain more evolutions based on his human nature and potential, then he can be as strong if not stronger than granola and gas. If characters lole granolah and gas who simply wished to be the strongest can be able to compete with ui goku and ue vegeta, then so can tien with proper training and rituals. After all, tien trains really hard nonstop and had gotten 0 proper treatment. He could be the next orange piccolo via techniques and abilities and with his third eye he could be super useful in battle if he wishes to hone and improvises his techniques and skills.

Tien is the strongest human, has been since his introduction. The guru power unlock wouldn't erase the many many years tien spent training. DB has repeatedly shown how much impact continuous training has.
You know what would have actually been neat and helped? Given how everyone uses ki basically the same powers, if we still tried to treat it like superhero team. If tien actually has a human god form or if he has awakened his Third Eye and gain more evolutions based on his human nature and potential, then he can be as strong if not stronger than granola and gas.
If characters lole granolah and gas who simply wished to be the strongest can be able to compete with ui goku and ue vegeta, then so can tien with proper training and rituals. After all, tien trains really hard nonstop and had gotten 0 proper treatment. He could be the next orange piccolo via techniques and abilities and with his third eye he could be super useful in battle if he wishes to hone and improvises his techniques and skills.

Tien did do some damage to Cell, look at when Cell rises with a bunch of scratches. Though it's small, Tien hurt the strongest mortal in the universe at the time.

Tien is the strongest human, has been since his introduction. The guru power unlock wouldn't erase the many many years tien spent training. DB has repeatedly shown how much impact continuous training has.
You know what would have actually been neat and helped? Given how everyone uses ki basically the same powers, if we still tried to treat it like superhero team.
