So if you've ever rode a plane before you probably found that you had that feeling in your ears. If you yawned with that feeling, you probably felt it go away after yawning. Basically, when you yawn a muscle opens up this weird valve type thing that leads to your ear drum that lets air in or out, depending on the pressure. Divers can control this muscle. Most people actually can. Divers that know what they are doing can actually hold open this muscle for extended periods of time, and not have to think about equalizing every few meters.
I remember having a weird dream as a kid about going down a bottomless pool.
