Therefore, you do not need to shout at the lady to take of her scarf, especially if you are a lady yourself. Really and truely embarrassed as a Brit by your attitude.
I have exactly one hour to get off my plane arriving from SFO in Terminal 5, to my connecting flight to Paris (also terminal 5) You're saying I have to go through security and perhaps even take a bus to my new gate? How am I going to do that?
I have a similar problem but from Germany - London - JFK I have 2:40h and my flight is leaving at a different terminal and I have no idea what to do and if the time is remotely enough. I did read however that if you miss your connecting flight, you will be put on the next one mainly free of charge..I think especially if your layover time is so short.

Everybody has to go through security even for the same terminal transfer as per the UK Govt. policy

If you land into T5A, and your journey is ending at Heathrow, you won’t be required to take the metro
