this tune is sooo dark...yet intelligent! even now!!! I dropped this 12" in Croydon last month, got 2 rewind requests & a 'big-up' from a couple of nu skool MC,s...goes to show, you dont need the latest tunes to tear up a dancefloor...It's the quality that counts...
this tune is really good but is the drum beat echoed? because it sounds like there's another unsynced drum beat playing right after the normal drum beat is it just how the producer made it?
+Hynkel That would fuck up the conformation to the regularity of the time signature It sounds like the drums arebeing run through a reverb with a pre delay of abour 150 ms. thts why it sounds like a short sustain delay. but its just a reverb with a predelay.
It's a pretty straight forward re-edit of the original break, and not too dissimilar to plenty of other DnB treatments of the same break (Tech Itch has used this break in a few tracks....I can't remember the names off the top of my head though). I can hear compression and a short reverb on the break, but I personally can't hear any unsyncopated drum sounds (DnB is always heavily quantized and syncopated or it would sound a mess!)
Love how Paradox doesn’t go with trends. Really good DnB producer.

Eric B & Rakim - Let The Rhythm Hit 'em
My number one
Superb !
Quite a cinematic and dense atmosphere. Reminds me on Ulver - perdition city althought its a completely different genre. But the mood...
This made me look at Music in a different way.

Good track....not his best, but still ahead of its time (that's how good Dev is!) I like it!
Sick!
Beyond bad-Paradox always leading the field....
Aw shit...Assembly Line...
“Crystal clear” sample also used in ‘remembrance’ by him and Seba (which is better)
