      @@chancevanek We will most definitely reach out to you. We bought our current house from a realtor we met on TH-cam when we were in TX. We will be moving to Summerlin after we see what the economy is going to do. Hopefully by the end of the year or sooner.

    Hi there! Just chanced upon this. It's great!! It's a nice strategic video - not focused single mindedly on a property for sale (like most I've seen). I appreciate it so much. Now I can say Summerlin seems to be a nice place (w/o crossing my fingers behind my back😂). Also, I don't know if I've said it before but I think it's awesome that you use an electric(?) skateboard (that must mean you have awesome balance!😊 Thanks so much for the tour! 👋

      Thank you for the kind words and feedback. I enjoy doing these types of videos. However. The home tours seem to get more engagement. You have encouraged me to do more of these types of things. Please be sure to subscribe. To see what the future holds for the channel.

    Wow, it looks like a mall, but in a nice way.

    • @chancevanek
      @chancevanek  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s basically an outdoor mall.

  • @gavin992-b1w
    @gavin992-b1w ปีที่แล้ว +2

    wow it looks kinda dead. is it more lively in the summer/warmer months?

    • @chancevanek
      @chancevanek  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely more lively in summer months and around the holidays. It was freezing that night and it’s basically a mall. Everything closes at 9. Except the restaurants and bars. So that’s why no one was shopping. It was after 9pm when I filmed this. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Any other places in Vegas you would be interested in checking out?

    needs to be bigger less parking lots and some way better stores

    • @chancevanek
      @chancevanek  ปีที่แล้ว

      Parking can be tough. Especially when the ballpark has a game or event.

    Whatever developer who built this downtown outdoor mall area has probably built hundreds of these complexes all over the country. There is a similar complex in a neighboring town to where I live in California.

    • @chancevanek
      @chancevanek  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s cool. What town are you referring to?

    • @kennixox262
      @kennixox262 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was originally designed to be a traditional indoor mall but the recession killed that. When they resumed towards the end of the recession, the decision was made to build it as an outdoor lifestyle center. The original name was to be the Shops at Summerlin Centre.

    • @chancevanek
      @chancevanek  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kennixox262 that’s some very interesting history. Thank you for that.

  • @kennixox262

    My only problem with Downtown Summerlin are the stores. Macy's & Dillard's are what is known in the industry as "B" level stores. Their locations at Fashion Show are "A" level stores and this means the lack of selection of items in Summerlin due to the smaller store foot print. Living just ten minutes away, I rarely go in there except for Trader Joe's. The nightlife scene is not for me and prefer to prepare my own meals at home. At least Downtown Summerlin is finished compared to the days when it languished as an unfinished metal frame for a half decade or more. While nice as it is, Downtown Summerlin is a bit overrated. Retail shopping has been on the downswing for over a decade.

      I’m not much of a shopper. So it serves its purpose for me. I’ve really been enjoying Panchos basic combination plates.

    Summerlin looks super boring. Rather go to the strip.

    • @kennixox262

      Part of the charm of Summerlin, keep the crazy tourists on the Strip and the somewhat normal people in Summerlin. There really is no "downtown" in Summerlin and few "3rd places" in Summerlin.
