I've always wondered why players don't ornament the famous descending sequence in the slow movement of the Clarinet Concerto - it does get monotonous after a while. It also seems strange to me that no one has tried adapting the work for cello (there are cello recordings of the oboe concerto and a couple of the violin concertos).
Early music creates such a wonderful world of sound. I love it.
