  • The newest fad amongst charismatics is to call themselves “Demon Slayers,” similar to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. They engage in spiritually dangerous practices, such as calling forth demons and commanding demons to obey them. They twist Scripture to say that they are casting out demons as Jesus did, and to claim they have authority to decree, declare, command, and bind. But what they’re really creating is chaos and confusion, as well as spiritual abuse. They tell people that their illnesses and problems will vanish if they have their demons slayed, and they use Jesus’ name like a magical incantation.
In this video, theologian and author Dave Jenkins, Christian blogger and ex-NAR prophetess Dawn Hill, and Christian ex-new ager Doreen Virtue discuss video clips of Greg Locke, his wife “Pastor Tia,” Isaiah Saldivar, and Derek Prince and compare their teachings to the Bible.

Note from Doreen: I have had comments turned off of all my videos since 2009 because I don’t have an assistant or moderator, and my schedule is extremely busy. You can reach me through direct instant messages at / doreenvirtue where I personally read and answer messages, albeit slowly because it’s just me without a staff. If I don’t answer right away, please write again and your letter will pop to the top.
