This spoke to me so clearly. I am grieving a relationship and had a revelation that I was in an abusive relationship with a narcissist.
I emphasize that I am not exaggerating at all about this. I’ve experienced the soul crushing damage from a narcissistic woman, Jezebel.
Every single day for weeks now, I remember what pastor Daniels said: “when I’m obedient to God I become his responsibility”
“The pain I’m going through now is less than the pain I missed”.
That has been my mantra and has kept me from responding out of anger and vindictiveness.

You have no idea what your message just did to my life Pastor D. I just cried asking God all the questions this sermon answered! No calling without a cross. The tarrying doesn't denote a lack of anointing; just a development of muscle and character to carry the cross. The pain I have is less than the pain I missed, and His presence is right here with me. It is He who makes it rain and causes the seed to grow and increase! My options are an illusion as long as His hand is on me!

Jesus, this word right here. Was like a sword to my flesh. Yes God. Even though it doesn't "feel" great, I humbly receive. I'm a nurse ready to jump out the frying pan but I don't want to jump into the fire. Lord, this is uncomfortable. I feel like I can't do this most times. I feel like my brain is not quick enough. I feel like I can't critically think like I'm supposed to. My body is tired. I am bringing my honesty like Jeremiah. I almost wish I would have disobeyed when you said "daughter, change the major...to nursing." Now, I'm in the field and I'm looking for a way out. God, I need You Every. Step. Of. The. Way. All I keep hearing is Be Still, and don't abandon your post. God, I need YOU.
Hold tight to his grace which is sufficient my dear, hold on tight, God is for you and with you, just be still and see the salvation of the LORD.
Be still my sister say yes Lord say yes to the process and be present in the moment God got you! Nursing is a calling for me too and there are times and even now I want to give up but the Holy Spirit will keep you my sister.
I was in your shoes as well. I made my own path in nursing and followed a different path. I haven't looked back since. I wish you the best
