This was instrumental in me being able to do this very task today. You made it look easy, and it was pretty easy-save a lapse in sanity and difficulty with tools. Thank you!
Very good video. I might add for mine, the lower part of the handle wasnt screwed in, rather there was a screw in the body and the handle had a track in it that slid over and down the screw so it locked in place.
Lowes installers said "swapping the door is NOT advisable since the door seals don't really work after that"; something about the alignment of the door to body of refrigerators. Is that TRUE??
hi, thx for the video. it was mostly helpful, but you didnt show the part i had a question about: how to get the handles off where they sit on the face of the doors. I finally had to guess that they popped off, which was wrong. they slide off, and i snapped one of the small plastic clips before I learned how it worked.
Only reason I watched this was to see how to get to the screw that's hidden on the door handle. His magically appears when I says not to just pull down. How about the part where you show how to get to the screw?!!!
Was writing the exact same comment but didn't want to double-post. For future reference: With the two screws removed, rotate the handle and shift to the side. ("Shift" meaning like hanging a clock on a screw on the wall.)
We didn’t have the right screwdriver for one of the top screws on the bottom fridge door... it’s supposedly a hybrid screw but that son of a bitch wouldn’t come out no matter WHAT we used. Philips, flathead, a damn butter knife.. nothing. We had taken everything else off too. 2 hours wasted.
Simple and clear, without unnecessary water. We need to gather our courage and do it)
Great instructions! I did this for a friend. He didn't need it or ask for it. I just wanted to screw with his head.
Lololololol
LOL
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think I’m gonna do this to someone. Great idea
That sounds like a fun prank. But if I do this at my place, my wife won't even notice it. 🙄

that's what we're here for!
This video was a lifesaver. I followed each step and now my fridge opens correctly. Thanks!!!
Great simple process and you made it look easy.Thank you
Jim Halpert, thank you, you make it look so easy!
My first thought too... :p
I'm so excited, can't wait to do this myself!
Great video we needed to do this for a family members freezer.
I'm not clear how the holes on the front (lower part of handle) are filled. I've never seen caps for switching.
Awesome vid. Just got a new fridge today so I'm going to do this with the old one now that it is in the garage. Thanks!

thank you for the tutorial
Can I do this by myself? did you need someone to hold up the door while you fit it back into the hardware and re-installed the screws?
Thank you so much for this easy to follow video

Thank you very much. Very helpful video
Thank you!!
Nice, well done. Thanks!
Good and helpful
very helpful. .. thanks for the video
Does the badge lose its adhesion and have trouble staying in place after you peel it off and relocate it to the other side?

This is great
Great video. Is it possible restrict how far the doors open? I don't want them to bang against the wall.
Can you add a bumper to the wall, maybe near or on thr baseboard?
Thank you
Thanks great vid
You left out how you removed the GE badge from the freezer door. Care to explain, or did you skip that on purpose? lol
THAT’S LITERALLY WHY I WATCHED THIS VIDEO AND HE SKIPPED IT! UGH! lol
Works only for refrigerators that are prepared to reverse doors.

Took me about 5 hours
Caden Keller Same here! I don’t have a ratchet wrench, so getting the bolts off the bottom hinge was damn near impossible.
Steve...?
"Just 20 minutes," my ass. Great advice otherwise.
Nice topic.. But go right to it - no need for a 1min intro - only have do much time
This is an ancient old-school fridge!!!! You should have reversed it 20 years ago!!! Please talk about reversing door of a 21st century fridge!!!!!
Pls do the same at my place
