    As an amateur Zab was already showing alot of flaws that should have been addressed. He keeps his hands down way too much especially when hes close to the opponent. He doesnt use much lateral movement and his ring IQ needed work. He had great ability but never got the full package together

    Judah had a lot of cardio problems as a pro, it seems he's always had cardio problems.

    yeah looks like the ref made an error on that one...Gil pretty much said as much when he said,"I'm gonna leave that one alone"...I wouldn't want to be a ref, tough job for sure.

      Jorge Q Yeah I know right, cheaters are champions where these guys fight at. That was a fucked up move by the ref.

    That's a simple minded answer, trust me I have a very high 'boxing I.Q.' What if the southpaw's a hooker and his lead hand is his power hand? I know well what alot of trainers say to do against a southpaw but it's just not that simple. If you know boxing you know alot of them are 'hookers.' Some 'southpaws' are naturally righthanded, Michael Moorer, who Clancy's talking bout being one and some natural left-handers box right handed, Oscar Delahoya, Ike Quartey to name a few...

    This Frias guy looks good here but his pro record is 8wins and 7 losses and he got ko'd 5 times. lol wtf happend

    so would you have him "walk" into the guys right hand? The right hand being the best weapon to use against a left hander? You're no boxing genius, obviously.

      bigmall did u end up searching my name on you tube for some of my fights? Did u c my fight with James Toney's former main sparring partner for years Terry Smith (who was 25-1 as a pro at one time). In that fight I boxed left-handed and instead of constantly circling to my right, I circled to the left a lot. When u circle the opposite way of what "you're taught" it can really throw a fighter off sometimes. U could also search "Roberto Benetiz" fight on you tube where his coach former Olympic coach Al Mitchell tells him to start circling to his left, instead of his right ( Benitez is a south-paw) completely turned the fight around. CLASS DISMISSED!

    Gil, i've always liked and respected you but... by Judah moving 2 his right he's walking into the hook. cmon.

    Is he still fighting? I thought he beat Zab one time in the amateurs. Also, I thought Norbert was a southpaw also. Zab was great, super great, but you can see in the 3rd round that he was going to have a little "heart problem".

  • @duftyboxing
    @duftyboxing 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    you tube Rick Dufty or Dufty boxing, then maybe you'll see better...like I said I have nothing but respect for Gil as a trainer, but it's just not that simple as moving to your left against a southpaw or the southpaw moving to his right against a righthander...at any rate that was a heck of a battle and Zab was happy to hear the 3rd round bell for sure! peace.

    -Do me a favor and don't describe anyone in the ring as a "hooker"...

      Sasha Sarronen Which is part of the heart/mental toughness. He had all of the tools to be Floyd's biggest rival skill wise, but never really knew how to adjust to adversity nor keep his discipline.

      You win novice golden globe then open then national. Hopefully make it to olympics. Go on to be a pro. Then you fight a world champion. After that you will either defend or go on to fight another world champion with a similar background as you. It's a tough 1 on 1 sport. Floyd is p4p so he basically won it all

    googled Rick Dufty and came up with a pro record of 3-4-1 3 KO's. So I'll definitely give you respect for being a pro fighter, but as a former fighter (amateur) myself I will agree to disagree with you.

    • @duftyboxing
      @duftyboxing 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      bigmall was wondering if u checked out any of my bouts on you tube? Amateur boxing is a sport, pro boxing's a business. It's all about the dough in the pros. Pro records are literally "built up". I once sparred a guy who was 10-0 as a pro. I had to take it easy on him. In the pros fight are literally "paid for" sometimes. I was ranked as high as 6 in the nation in the Amateurs, and tko'd a guy that at one time was 25-1 in the pros. His name is Terry Smith, was James Toney's main sparring partner for years. Look up one of Roberto Benetiz amateur fights on you-tube. he was an elite amateur who was in a tough until his coach Al Mitchell told him to start moving to his left. He's a southpaw and that's the opposite way that you're usually told to move when you're a south-paw fighting a righthanded fighter right? But the strategy worked like a charm. Like I said "it's not that simple". In fact sometimes circling the opposite way that an opponent is used to seeing can really throw them off. I know from experience. peace.
