It happens to me on one point on the freeway in AZ. Always the EXACT same spot. Used to be a road at 50 MPH now a freeway at 75 MPH
those arent radar sensors for autopilot. those are utrasonic sensors for parking, gauging the distance from that exact spot on the car.

I knew the Model Y would be popular in Australia. So many people were waiting for it. I ordered mine but won’t here until Feb 2023. Ordered performance model, can’t wait. Wish it had the new batteries but such is life.
I would of ordered also but there was no 7 seat option. So I will stick with the M3 until then. Enjoy the Y bro.
Why wont it have the newer battery?
I asked the Tesla salesperson and he said the new battery won’t be in Australia for some time as these are made in China and the giga factory there does not use this battery
Same, white with black interior. Qld it's around $105k but if I can get that new $5,1k semi fsd I will add that on so it can self park and better auto driving on the highway. I didn't even question the pricing, I've been waiting for so long for the Y

Those figures u quote for the Y in Australia are actually before on road costs. That means the rear wheel drive base model Y is $76k driveway and $107k driveway for the performance model. We don't yet have the LR Y.

Thank you for all your videos! Your hard work and balanced information have been a great help for us as we made the decision to order a Tesla Y 2022 Long Range. We live in Texas and were offered to change for a standard Y out of Giga Texas. We declined. Yesterday we took delivery of our May 2022 Fremont built Model Y - we are very happy and thank you for the recommendations for accessories.
We ordered our blue LR Y with stock wheels in mid January. Our delivery estimate was initially July - Aug then got pushed out to Oct - Jan. And last week it got pulled back to mid Aug - Sept. This was a great update and we hope it holds!

On the subject of opening superchargers to other brands. The charging speed doesn't help if the other brands are not capable of charging at that speed. Those are the cars that will clog up the stalls. Image waiting for a Leaf, Volt, or Bolt to charge.

@@kathleenchilds2837 That's different, not related to superchargers. That let's you charge a Tesla from other chargers including the outlet on the Lightning.
@@kathleenchilds2837 The supercharger statrion in Culver City CA almost always has 4-6 chargers out of sertvice. Even those that work only do so a way slower than expected. Result: long waits of T's. Noiw, add non T's to the equation , esp slower charging ones, and it will really, really be frustrating waiting foreverf to charge up your $110k S, or any other T. Grrr.

They were all working but trying to integrate them into a normal parking garage that was busy enough by itself was insane. I can't imagine what it must be like for people new to highly stressful driving situations.
@@SIMPLETRUTHS2012 that is true... what I wonder, is how many of the other bevs will physically 'fit" in many of the T stalls as they're set up now. The Fords have their charge port on the front driver side panel, not sure regarding the ID.4 or the Korean bevs? I really think the slanted, 2-sided pull-thru style is the most versatile of all the layouts. Especially if you have a cybertruck. The chargers are on such short cables.

Tesla might not be using this particular radar externally, but internally. To monitor, driver occupancy, position and orientation. With few other added features.
If you check the Tesla subreddit there are so many Model 3 and some Model Y buyers who are waiting ~9-10 months for delivery. That's insane. I hope they can solve the problem.

I think the high-res radar isn't for the cars, but for Tesla bot. A high resolution radar, compared to a many-camera approach, isn't nearly as useful for a car on the road as it is for a robot in a complex environment.
Driving the latest FSD release and let me just say this is a quantum leap forward. Significant improvements across virtually all areas.

@@kjelle5350 yes. Almost no phantom breaking, and even when a car slowed in front of me or another car entered into the highway the brakes were more natural as I would have as a human. Perhaps still a bit conservative but can’t really blame them for being conservative.

$68,000 was not the drive away price in Australia, Tesla has also increased the price yesterday by $3800. The drive away price after taxes is $78,000 AUD ($54,000 USD) for the rear wheel only model, the performance model is $109,000 AUD ($75,000 USD)
Are there model 3s being delivered right now? My model 3 on feb 2nd was expected may25-june22 then got push back twice falling on July28-September1st. Is probably everyone right or just me?

Hi Ryan, I always appreciate your news and insight. Quick question. I recently bought a used 2021 model Y with the FSD installed. I drove it for two weeks, using the FSD almost every day. I also requested the new beta software. Then I received a notice on my screen that FSD had been downgraded to autopilot. I had always heard the FSD stayed with the vehicle. My 2019 model 3 I traded for the model Y had FSD and now it’s been over two months of back and forth with Tesla service with no FSD. Do you, or your audience have any suggestions? Thanks, keep up the good work.
My understanding is it only transfers private party to private party. And the owner has to assign the car to you in customer account. I could be wrong.
Are you sure the prior owner wasn’t on the monthly subscription of FSD? That could be the reason why it suddenly ended after two weeks of ownership.

You literally can enter into Tesla stock with $1. Fractional shares now make stock splits more of a marketing move than anything else. It could move the needle temporarily based on emotions if the split inspires confidence but not much else.
I’m concerned about the lack, of a charging network. Relying on a second party network, is scary.
I will be living in a dorm attending a nursing program in a location where there are no charging stations! I’m not sure what I am going to do to charge my model y! Lake Havasu City, Arizona. There are no charging stations here! Does anyone have any ideas to charge?

It's been a 8 1/2 month wait for my Model Y :( this is getting very frustrating.
A Human also Listens while driving. The noise the car make while driving on the road can tell you more about the vehicle behavior than vision. Tesla vision is great but it also needs hearing to optimize the experience. e.g. How will the vehicle react when a emergency vehicle (which has the right of way) comes into head traffic?

Hey Ryan! I know you talk about the $25k ev that tesla has hopefully coming in the future, but have you heard of the company Aptera? If so what are your opinions about them?
I’ve seen the aptera in person. It is not set up for ramped up production. I like the concept but they need to scale more to keep their costs down. Also you don’t get as much value for the dollar on the aptera.

Hopefully the master plan includes a price drop to the model 3/y in the US. We’re paying more than other countries and I feel priced out with all the increases over this year. I’m waiting for a drop to place my deposit.

Surprise!! Stupid Tesla raised all Model prices! I'm disappointed since they are serving up not really up to par quality for the price they are asking. Model Y LR price is now 65k compared to 62K yesterday.

@@c2thew 2-3 month WAIT Times???? Ha! I placed my order October 26, 2021 for a LR Model Y. The date has changed three times. First Date was April 2022. This last date is July 27 to August 30 ~2022. No New Orders are occurring in three months.
If any car is going to get me to go electric it will be a Tesla.
Finally received my VIN number for my model Y. I put a little over 18,000 down and I just looked at my bank account Tesla took out another 15,000 without my authorization. No communication from Tesla as to why they did this. Me paying Tesla is very different then Tesla taking out of my account.
The demand from Australia will help fix the quiet quarter for Tesla. LOL
Price is artificially high because of this inability to deliver in a timely manner. Once these vehicles are sitting in a parking lot or have dropped to a one week delivery or less the price will plummet.

The math didn't add up with charging rates jumping all over the place so I reviewed the video - Charging starts at 9:24 at 9:27 3 min it did have the 20%, at 9:32 8min mark not 6min before camera cut out it was only 37% but may have gotten to 38% (that's not 6mins), at 9:38 14min it hit 50%, at 9:58 34min it hit 80%, at 10:06 42 min it hit 90%, at 10:16 52 min it hit 97%. Yeah there is a margin of error but he's backwards and forwards by a couple minutes by the clock, really needs a stopwatch to be more exacting.
My Model Y LR arrives on the 24th .... been over 2 months wait, which I think is good in the current situation, but it's getting worse in the UK now .... the demand is crazy here ! ... But by all accounts from user groups etc, the service and parts back up is terrible and needs a big kick up the back side from Elon to get it up to scratch to help owners get what they deserve.

IMO, Tesla, are actually thinking that they aren’t going to be moving as many vehicles and that demand may dry up. AFAIK, a lot of people have been coming out and saying,
we didn’t think inflation was going to be this bad. A recession by the 3rd Q would not surprise me.
Elon is right, the autopilot is very cool, right up until that thing locks up the breaks without cause or notice. It definitely gives you a heart stress test though at no cost. The guy behind you too. The Tesla sales backlog isn't so surprising either, you can't buy an electric car from any electric car manufacturer right now. They all claim to be unable to deliver a car for about a year. One day though, probably late next year, all the supply chain issues will be caught up , right about the time that legacy manufacurers bring 20 to 30 viable electric cars to the open market. Then we'll see if Tesla can still get 55k for a model 3 that they promised to us for 35 k or 67k for a model Y that they promised to us for 40k. I think it will be very interesting at a minimum
If the Model Y was more than 350 mile range and the same price as the M3LR I would buy it instead. As it is, the M3LR is a better car for a lower price.
People who think Shanghai is going back to normal must be drunk or illiterate with regards to China. The problems with supply chains and more shut downs there continue to be INSANE. So glad I am back home in Taiwan (I used to work over there on the dark side in China).
