@@SpeedSpecter hey bro, i really like your video so i had a leveling kit installed on my expedition all new struts rebuilt the front end . I just bought new tires and rims 285/70/17 mt rims 17x9 . I have an '05 Expedition that is identical to yours. I've had the same lift kit in my garage for two years, but I'm doing the install this weekend and (of course) going with bigger tires! Great video! I used it as a reference to do the same job to my 2003. Finding 2003 lift or off road upgrades (and videos for them) is nearly impossible. But your rig looks great! Keep up the good work!
I realized it’s because many of the EB’s have air ride. If it’s still in working order, you probably don’t want to swap your expensive airbag system for some cheap coil overs just for increase ride height
I have an 03 expedition Eddie Bauer edition. I added falken wild peak A/T3w. I’ve driven it on the beach a lot. The lift looks good. With all the rust it has now I’m afraid it would be a nightmare job for me.
@Curtis J Berger Jr. AWESOME! Its worth it lifting them completely changes the look of these. Im glad to hear your doing it there is way too many stock ones on the road.
@@SpeedSpecter agreed I hate the fact ford makes their trucks with such a forward lean. I mean I know why they do it to balance out the truck when towing but man is it ugly. Put a lift in and sit the front up and the truck looks totally different and so much better and aggressive! Subbed

Picked up a 04 expedition last Christmas. It's a southern truck. No rust at all. The bottom is really clean. I put a set of milestar patagonia tires on it. Stock suspension. It looks really great. They rub just a little. So what. The tires alone added 1 inch to the clearance. Don't ever buy a used expedition with the air suspension. The replacement parts cost a fortune. Look for yourself. Mine didn't have it.

Dude. Weird seeing my hometown on TH-cam. I have a 2003 expedition as well.. I'm down in the valley right now but let me come up and help me do this process😂😭
Did you need a lift for 33s? It does look way better than stock. I have 33s 275/60/20 on my Ex with no lift and they don't rub. I could probably fit 34s 275/65/20. It would be tight tho. I certainly could not go wider than 275 without at least a 1 inch spacer. Also, aren't you breathing in exhaust when the window is down with those side-pipes and why not replace the shocks while the struts were out?
I dont think the lift was needed for the 33s but we did it so the tire didnt fill the wheel well up so much. We have changed the exhaust cause of just that reason 🤣. The struts were not bad so we didnt change them we were looking to upgrade them to see if it changes the ride quality!

Good ish bro, damn good ish!!! Bought a 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer about a year ago. Love it 165,000 and counting. Put a 2.5 inch lift in the front, dropped the strut to avoid messing up 4x4 system, no lift in the rear, got all the suspension on the front/rear done, alignment, new breaks, rotors, calipers, control arms, sway bars and tune up! Was running factory 265/R70/17s but today I just installed a set of 285/R70/17s and man does it look good! The A/T tires look rugged and they take up more of the wheel well at 285 I LOVE IT! I swapped out the stock eddie Bayer wheels and got some 2015 f150 take off rims to finish it off. I also have 2.5 inch spacers I will be installing on the wheels this weekend to give it a more aggressive stance. Also do you have the 2V 5.4L Triton V8 or the 3V Triton V8? I ask because I thank the lord I have the 2V which are the more reliable rock solid Triton's before they switch to 3V which has given the triton such a bad wrap!
Thank you! We actually switched out the tires for 285s as well its the same height at 33 inches just a bit more narrow so we ordered wheel spacers we like the AT tires more they are super quiet. Also yes we got the 2v triton it was a requirement when we were looking for expeditions the 3 valve has cam phaser issues and the spark plugs are a nightmare to change
@@SpeedSpecter yea most people don't know that 285s are just a big height wise as 33s, just narrower but still wider than stock 265s I wanted some 33s but the noise was a major factor. Glad you got the 2v and yea the 3vs are nightmares we searched for over a year before we found a 2v!
please make more vids on the expedition it looks great

@@K1nGD0nn1e86 same here we looked for about 8 months before we found our 2v
@@SpeedSpecter can you post a pic with the new tires w/ spacers and w/o spacers
