I initially put 30 second rounds to make testing easier but then the whole byte size thing felt right like you said, I will definitely put the time up though. There is no agility training game in the build yet, but I’ve accidentally left the button ungreyed out, that will come soon. Also I am cracking the fuck up at you ending up fighting in the street in the amateurs, that was because there’s supposed to be random events that pop up in between fights that can lead to street fights, but at the moment it just leads to that street arena 😅. Anyway this just put some fire back into me!

This looks amazing. Just wanted to add that novice and Junior amateur fights are 2 minute rounds rather then 3. I'm not sure but it's possible as a pro the rounds times will increase. Definitely keeping a eye on this game. Thanks for sharing.
It's good, but one of the fundamental nuances of boxing is using the environment aka ring to move in 8 directions, it would be good if he could simulate that, even if it was just a side dash mechanic, where the screen did a flip affect as you evaded to the side. It could add a whole new layer to this.
That’s definitely something I’ve been clashing with making this game. Your suggestions have been on my mind in the past and I will do some tests to see what works 🤜
@@TheJevonjames maybe something like a side step to the left or right, making the character sprite slightly shrink or grow to give the illusion of depth, then move back to default position in one motion? even without that you're making something more than worth playing, looks so cool, thanks for the effort you're putting in from all us starving boxing game fans 🤜
@@txmato yes that was my thought. More of an illusion. Maybe even make the ring appear to turn when it happens and like you said shrink the site. So it's more of a mechanical effect triggered by an action than an environment change. This is an awesome game. I'm amazed as a novice programmer myself, I work in networking but would love to get back to making games someday.

As much as I want undisputed on console, I don’t think we’ll get it. Ya could have released it on console and patch it up overtime. EA has no excuses doing this strategy with UFC 5 because that game was in development for I believe 2 years, so they should have been had their stuff together. But at this point, Fight Night Round 6 that’s already secretly in development, (Did I say that? 🫢) will be out way before Undisputed hits consoles.
It’s something I’m going to do some further testing on, like fanatico said there is a risk reward with the pushing but a cool down might need some testing for sure. I’m trying to balance it right to keep the game from sticking to one side of the ring and allow for it to move back and forth since it’s only left and right movement. Thanks for the feedback bro
Na bro….. ring out was better than this? U sure it’s not nostalgia bias? Ring Out had some punching and stuff but not a full fledge career mode with training mini games and meal plans, making weight etc. gameplay wise …. This game has ducking while blocking, parries, pushing, clinching and punching, quick step ins etc.
I give you your props that. Yeah I would say nostalgia. I will say that you around the right instead going back and forth. Unless you have a spud of a pc lol or the game needs kbs of ram lol games like this don't really have a place on pc at all.... Most game developers today (I my self am a game dev) so take the advice, The platform that the game is playable on is 80% of the challenge of makeing a good game, Pc, console, phone, tablet, handheld The game here really dose not justify as a pc game at all, the games playability is all wrong, The game reviewed here should be in a handheld factor only, be it a tablet with controller support or a dedicated handheld gaming system (Punch club springs to mind alot as a heavy influence with this game)
I started making games just before the whole covid thing kicked off, my knowledge of porting to other devices is pretty much nil at the moment and this is why I’m aiming for pc first. The initial reason for making this game was for myself to play and if others are interested in playing on pc first too then that’s great. Eventually when it’s nearing finish I can start working on figuring out other devices, which is a whole new skill set in itself. I am only one guy, with a wife, a job and a house to keep, before I do this game dev thing so I can only do so much at a time. Peace

It has it, I never did a straight up 1-2 as I was trying to do damage with the hooks to catch up in these fights

The pushing and clinching should have a cooldown timer,... because it's boxing.
A round should also be 1 minute each.
If u get punched while trying to push it’s a critical hit same thing with clinch…. So there is a risk reward to it

The boxing game that i feel had the most impactful feeling punches was King of Boxer/Ring King in the US, this game looks very promising.

It only happens if you are countered so it isn’t entirely random…. Catch and shoot or slip and shoot has a chance to flash
