Honestly this album is a masterpiece. The last two songs explore an awesome concept from different points of view. Sonically a wonderful fusion of the vocalist, guitar tone and amazing rhythm work.
First time listening to Green Lung in advance of their supporting Clutch... WOW! The Mrs is going to hate them, but I am astounded. This fits so well with my Doom-laden tastes, it has so many influences seeping through it, from the 60s dawn of Heavy Metal all the way through to modern Doom and Hard Rock. I'm excited to hear more - and of course, to see them live!

After listening to their "Forest Rites" I thought the vocalist would change but he didn't. So I was glad to hear Ozzy - styled voice again . Third song is a killer. Suppose third album will come too!)
I don't hear Ozzy in this guys voice. Maybe lightly sprinkled in here and there, but I'm not hearing it as much as alot of folks seem too. I hear Sabbath in the instruments, but singer sounds like an alt rock guy, maybe slight classic heavy rock vibe.
@@markrago5024 It's not the voice tone that's Ozzy-like, but the vocal melody and that damn cool groove in it. The album production also has its merits in that, the voice is airy, slightly transparent, high pitch reverb... 1 more month and I'll be on the front row...

Reading the comments it amazing how many rock / metal fans aren't familiar with the decades old, worldwide phenomenon that falls under the umbrella genre of "stoner rock".
these guys could be big even in the more indipendent scene but so hard to stand out with really so many bands putting out music and albums that, one must admit, sound too often very similar being the main sources of inspiration basically the same...
