My opinion is the ONLY way to lower blood pressure and blood glucose is to stop the excess of eating refined carbs and sugar or just stop it all together much preferred, which would greatly improve your overall health, period.
My Dr. prescribed statin drugs a long time ago to control my cholesterol. What’s with all the videos out there saying that statin drugs are actually unnecessary and even harmful?
Great videos doc but how do you control your cholesterol and don’t tell me statins. Insulin resistance can be controlled by low carb diet but for many that causes high cholesterol. I would love to see a long video from you. You have a lot of knowledge to share!
Substitute saturated fats for unsaturated fats for a start. Lots of nuts/seeds, fish/sea food, avocados and olive oil. This will make a huge difference.
Dr.London, absolutely love your content. Please do a video of how severe sleep apena affects your heart and CV health. My best friend died at age of 53 due to hypertension, severe sleep apena and severe CHF. Thank you! 😢
I presume you’re from the USA? If everything from the your health system and food industry wasn’t trying to make you ill, you wouldn’t need to go Carnivore. The food standards in the USA are complete garbage. Proper third world country standards.
@@ASpectacular3777 There’s only one reason why a large number people in the US are doing Carnivore/Keto now. The food standards in the US are terrible. I guess antibiotic ridden meat is better than nothing.
I had a heart scan and it showed I have heart blockage but not bad enough to do a surgery. My Dr put me on a blood thinner. I'm wondering if I really need to be on the blood thinner or if I could take a daily aspirin and be fine.
Thank you Dr London for sharing all your valuable information. I'm trying to share everything with some of my family members, but they refuse to listen. My daughter consumes way too much alcohol and I am very concerned about her.
Can you speak to calcification of the artery vs plague build up? I’m almost 60 and have no issues, but during an CT scan on my lungs they noted “ moderate calcification”.
I have genetically high cholesterol, and the running joke with one of my coworkers (who has genetically low cholesterol) is I'm willing to donate :D But... I am pretty much relegated to eating plants like a rabbit.
@gybx4094are you taking baby aspirin? It can lower mortality from ascvd by 50% for those with high Lp(a), and some studies show it can also lower Lp(a) substantially. Go look this up, here is an excerpt: A new study suggests the benefits of aspirin in primary prevention could depend on a person’s lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] levels. An analysis of more than 2900 people with a median follow-up of 26 years, results of the study suggest regular aspirin use in those aged 40 to 70 years cut the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) mortality in half among those with Lp(a) levels of 50 mg/dL or more but had no benefit among those with reduced Lp(a).
I had a heart attack at 47 y.o. called a MINOCA. I eat healthy. Exercise occasionally. I have HTN only. Now I take a bunch of meds to lower my cholesterol. It wasn't high in the first place. Need to stop taking these meds due to harsh side effects. Someone please help me.
please tell us how to regulate ldl without taking awful statins that have the worst side effects.....diet is generally good. Also what is 'normal' blood pressure, the numbers published have changed over the years ...
Please get a blood test for lp(a). It's a one-time test. You either have it or you don't. I have it, and even though my lifestyle goes above and beyond what most Americans do for health, I still had an ApoB of 91. Thankfully, my doctor got me tested for it and put me on cholesterol lowering medication. If I were to list out all the lifestyle things I do to prevent heart disease, you'd think I'd be heart attack proof. But I'm not. You can't outrun your genetics.
I hope you don't mind me asking this question, but I have some heart problem that I have been reporting for five years and I'm not getting anywhere with it. I have been to several different cardiologist who keep telling me that there's nothing wrong. Blood test, Echocardiogram, everything is normal but a heart monitor is telling me that it's going up to 180 beats a minute and it can drop drastically down into the 30s but it also goes completely crazy with ectopic beats. My blood pressure is high one day and very low next But there is no physical problem with the heart and nothing on any of my bloods are showing anything. Is there anything you could advise me I could ask the doctors to look into because I was a long distance runner and I had to stop just like that immediately Because my heart just decided to start behaving like this. Yes there is anxiety related, but whatever I eat, I could eat a raw carrot and it will begin making my heart race within half an hour. It's not in my head because it's been picked up on a 7 day tape and it's doing it when I'm asleep but I've just been told to shut up in their own words because there's nothing wrong
Why shouldn't you eat them? They are super nutritious and besides cholesterol in a diet, if you are afraid of that, has negligible impact on blood cholesterol.
@@FrankieZG Well thats what Ive asked countless times. Everyone has one of two answers as far as the egg yolks are concerned. 1. Eating egg yolks doesnt raise LDL. 2. Eating egg yolks raises LDL. Plus its said that egg yolks should be limited to one per day?! If there is a limit then there must be something bad yeah? I dunno everyone has a different opinion with little evidence either way.
@@edwelndiobel1567 It’s not an opinion but fact, eggs do not raise cholesterol. Countless studies done on this topic. Main issue is sugar in the body that must be controlled and exercise done daily even at least 20-30mins. You want to get your heart pumping as this is extremely helpful.
@ Others have opposite "facts". They say limit to one a day. Thats what Harvard, Mayo, Healthline say. Plus the British heart foundation and Northwestern University say egg consumption increased the risk of cardiovascular disease.

How do you feel about statins doctor. Would love to hear your thoughts.
Control of blood glucose is pivotal in avoiding heart disease/Hypertension/calcification of Arteries.
My Dr. prescribed statin drugs a long time ago to control my cholesterol. What’s with all the videos out there saying that statin drugs are actually unnecessary and even harmful?
They are harmful, cause dementia. Cholesterol is not the cause of heart disease, inflammation is.
What Apo B?
That is the harmful part of ldl, bad cholesterol. I order it myself since it is not part of standard blood tests that doctors are allowed to order.

Its not about cholesterol or LDL , just eliminate the TRIGLYCERIDES. Harvard's confirmed one year old research
