Politicians would always play, talk and do politics,They are professional politicians that knows how to manufacture crises and manage those crises to their advantage. Most of the aspirants on the platform of PDP only signified interest or intention to run for Edo state governship race as a means of negotiating for political appointments or position in the incoming administration. Almost of them didn't even campaign or spend resource to mobilise, they were only seen making noise on social media sites and television. They are making noises to renegotiate a better political deal.

Gov Makinde resigned because his plan with Wike and Edo PDP Legacy Group failed before he arrived Edo, because Edo is not Oyo state where Governor can switch between PDP and APC . And for the Nine Contestants that are tactically withdrawing by not participating because of low supporters. One would have expected the 9 contestants to have participated rather than writing petitions to Gov Makinde who resigned before the contest started. The G9 already accepted defeat before the exercise. Osezua has been chairman of APC in Edo State before, he should know how party politics is played. This man can lead the G9 back to APC where they came from but will not be trusted back in APC or Labour parties.
