  • You will see in this video that to convert from a forwarder to a harvester only takes one person and it can be done in under 10 minutes. Many of our customers that run our combo machines love the versatility it provides. In larger operations the machine can often be used as a floater, meaning if they need more wood harvested they will run it as a harvester. If they need more wood forwarded then they use as a forwarder. Our combo machine gives you reduced costs of ownership and maintenance all while providing highly efficient forwarding and harvesting. With our strong boom set with over 30' of reach our combos can comfortably handle a 3,500lb head.

I'm just wondering why they are bucking them at like 6 ft

Could you process the wood on to the bunks? Eliminate the other process all together, coming back and loading?

jacob In quebec canada,a timberpro 840 has bunk stakes positioned sideways. he processes directly onto bunk. unloads with 7000 logmax. he said it is awesome

Why do they not buck the logs into the bunk? It would avoid double handling and reduce log damage and load time? Maybe a side-loading bunk would be needed for that? There could be 3 side-loaded bunks with a bar running below the 3 side bolsters, allowing for 3 sorts to pre-sorted and transported.. just sayin...

Old video i know…..but is it that the technology just doesnt exist that we can process the log into its 3 pieces, then immediately drop into the back? Maybe if somebody would make a processor head that could pick up a log, then sit it back down… perhaps only future generations may know

If you put a Konrad Woody head on it, you can to both tasks without changing tools... ;-)

Some times it seems like handsaw cable skidder is more economical in wood like this… but I but this setup is better in small high piece count wood.
