Mine started themselves at 4 months old.I took them to the woods where the rabbits lived, spotted a rabbit and carried them to where the rabbit had been sitting. It then seemed as if my puppies were being gutted....they started baying like these.
I've had Beagles for forty years. I appreciate that you use a large training area. Another video on here a guy throws many pups in a small pen with rabbit and calls it training. Wrong! Just my opinion.
I just need a dog for hunting..Or as well as my grandfather,will actually use a cat..A huge and striped orange cat that can meow louder than the trailer truck's horn👍🐯 Grandad also started to train Neron-his orange striped comrade AKA Siberian tiger to hunt nearly in the same way:they started with rabbits!Yet after all Neron's prey selection was much wider and so he basically was able to hunt down everything from mice to huge brown bears,and once at his 12 years old he defeated and killed a gianormous old male brown bear that weighted about 700-750 kilograms:even grandad's help was not required-Neron showed that bear that size doesn't always matter and sometimes it actually is disadvantage in fight rather than advantage:he weighted twice less than that Goliath but was much faster and more agile than that huge mountain of fat!
I have a bagle/lab pup that just loves to run rabbits. He is super fast and quick. He makes an amazing blood dog too.

I have a couple of dogs 8months old, the don't seem interested in the rabbits what can I so to build their drive?
Some dogs just won't hunt. Those make great pets for someone.
