Is there any way to wirelessly download footage that is already recorded on an SD card in your camera to your phone (without removing the SD card)? If so, is there a way to convert pre-recorded footage on the card to time lapse?
I have been trying to get a time lapse to work for a long time, and either nothing records or it says 'file doesn't exist' (when i click download) Recently soeone said i might not be setting it for long enough, with shorter intervals, and i have tried this, and it seems to work. I thought a shorter time, with longer intervals, like 10mins would make a shorter file, for a TEST. But, it doesn't have enough pictures to it to save, or something...? Still testing it, but not too much where i live for action to test it on. Try making one using the default settings that come up for time lapse. Also, turn off "motion tracking" .

I have 2 of these and planning to buy more.... the best thing a company can do is build features on top of its product instead of throwing upgraded hardware..I always so first realize the full potential of the current device, then ask your self are you using the device to its full potential ? if yes then time to upgrade if not hold off on that though...I also considered TP link kasa cameras but they didnt provide time lapse so I went for wyze instead... very satisfied.
Can a time lapse session be zoomed ? In Livestream I had exactly what I wanted to zoomed but when I go to time lapse it get reset to no zoom. User error comments are welcomed
Hi , i really need some help, where is the best place to get it? I’m trying to do time lapse video. I have watched this video a few times. I am using pan cam and the memory card i bought from you. I cannot a\seem to download anything from the album, it keeps telling me to connect my device to the same wi if as the cam. I am connected to the same and i can look at the live feed, but cannot access the videos from the album. Sometimes it tells me the cam is not connected to the WiFi and tells me to reboot the app, or the cam. But if i close it out its connected the next time i open it. I am confused. My firmware is up to date. Any advice you can offer would be so appreaciated. Thank you ....shirley
Oh no!!! Shirley, we are so, so sorry that we missed your comment until now. Have you been able to download your time lapse video since you wrote in? It is possible that your phone is connected to the 5GHz band instead of the 2.4GHz network that your Wyze Cam is set up on. They need to both be on the 2.4GHz one for the video to be transferred from your microSD card to your phone. If that doesn't work, you can read a microSD card on a computer to retrieve the file.

I have had this problem too, and recently learned I wasn't setting them for long enough or the intervals soon enough, to there wasn't enough to save. Im not 100% sure of this yet, I am still trying it out. Someone on the Wyze FB group suggested this. So far, it seems to work. LIke try making the time lapse with the default settings that come up.
This camera needs a fast motion feature, I can't believe that such a simple feature hasnt been implemented when just about every other home security camera has that function.
I purchased and installed a WYZE SDGB card for time lapse and the camera didn't recognize it, I eventually pressed the setup button on the cam and lost everything .The camera will not pick up my wireless connection so got rendered a useless camera.
Enjoyed your 12 videos. However, watching the videos would have been easier if you would have included a link to the next video in each videos description. Or even making a file in our TH-cam site that includes all 12 videos. Some how at the end of each video you could even have a small link show on screen so going to the next video would be easy.
How do I prevent that the footage on the sd card will be overwritten like the app says when making very long timelapses. Do I use: Continues or Events only in sd card settings?
Hi there! When a time lapse finishes, that recording is saved in your album independent of your MicroSD card so you won't have to worry about it being overwritten.

Hi, Tomas! At this point, there is not an option to get the photos separate from the time lapse. I'll add your request to our tracker. :) 32GB is the largest microSD card that we support and time lapse videos can take up to 4GB. You could set the duration to be close to a month but you'd need very long intervals to compensate and avoid taking up more than 4GB.

Can you make a new video on this with current app update, I'm not seeing playback option. It popped up for download but can't find it as described in this video. My album says no videos in album, and yes SD card is compatible + not full, on same wifi network etc. as described. It's just not there in albums.
never mind found it, but the placement for download is not as described in this video, when cancelled out of lapse was option to DL but didn't work until found it in different area
fyi also important you use a class 10 card sd card. sadly one last thing to keep in mind, good fakes. scammers having gotten quite good lately. example a 32gb supposedly name brand card. description on major sales site says 32gb class 10. you see many 5 star reviews saying it's great. you order it. you put it into your pc, it shows indeed 32gb. BUT do not stop there, attempt to transfer a large file or files that in total approach that 32gb. if all goes well you're good BUT if it doesn't work you know that card hardware has been spoofed so to speak to make it appear to be a genuine 32gb card when in fact it is one of the new type of fakes on the market. i have seen some with under a one gig of actual memory. point being just because the card is advertised to specs test it out. bonus if already testing that card in a pc you can easily do a quick fat32 format so the card will be good to go for your wyze cam.

Second, do you guys have access to the live-stream of each customer's individual WyzeCam and do you have access to the videos that are stored on the 14 day free cloud? Last, if I use a microSD card, could the camera save the motion detection videos directly TO THE microSD without it going to the free cloud?
Hello! Here are the answers for your questions: 1. We have never sent IP addresses out to be stored anywhere. Our live stream provider uses international servers. When people brought this up as a point of concern, we worked with our live streaming provider to limit our server use to the US. At this point, Wyze Cam Pan and Wyze Cam v2 (the only ones available for retail from us) use only US servers. Wyze Cam v1 may use an international server during boot up but switches over after that. 2. We have no access to people's live streams unless you choose to share your cameras with us for some reason. No one except for the people that work directly with the cloud have access to the videos in the cloud and even that access is pretty limited. 3. If you turn off your motion and sound detection you can store continuous video to the microSD card without using the cloud but recording on event wouldn't work. The motion detection sensitivity applies to both alert videos and the microSD card recordings.
It has arrived! Can't wait to set it up! But one thing, going back to the above reply about the live stream, you stated that only the people who work with the cloud have access to the videos in the cloud. Can you elaborate on that? Do they have access to the live stream?
We do not have access to the live stream. The people that have access to the cloud mostly use it for, "Did this video upload? Did it send a notification?" which doesn't require viewing the alert videos. On a rare occasion someone will ask about us looking at something but we prefer for them to send us a copy of the video. We'd rather leave the privacy control up to our customers. :)

Can the pan camera very slowly pan, like 360 degrees in 60 minutes back and forth, while taking time lapse video? It would be a great feature.
My time lapse does not show in the gallery and all the permissions have been granted as well...

@@twillia76, there currently is no way to stitch Playback into a Timelapse. It's been discussed, but we don't have concrete plans for this right now.
if you set up a camera looking at the video (like on a computer screen) you could make a timelapse of it, I would think? I haven't tried this.
