    Walt was the one who had Hank's number when they called from the RV to say Marie had been in a car crash.
    The gas mask found in season 1 was from Walt's school, and he admitted only a handful of people had the keys to the lab, including him.
    Walt seemingly inexplicably crashed his car outside the laundromat, which was soon after found to be the hiding place of the super lab.
    Walt drove up to Hank while the DEA was pulling a sting, distracting him and blocking the view for the cameras, allowing Jesse to help out Badger.
    Standing alone they might not mean all that much, but all together, once the connection has been made to Gale, it's evident Walt is Heisenberg. Add to this Hank's knowledge of Walt's personal life, with Skyler standing in the pool like a zombie, Walt's fugue state and gambling winnings and the kids staying at Hank and Marie's for months with no good explanation.

    • @json_bourne3812

      And the final (and perhaps most obvious) thing that on its own doesn't mean anything: Walt's got a in depth knowledge of chemistry.

      Also:
      Walt‘s connection to Jesse (former student and recent pot dealer) who Hank suspected to be involved with the blue meth.
      Walt telling Hank that Gale was probably not the real Heisenberg in a bragging tone while drunk.
      Walt telling Hank he‘s not comfortable with placing the bug on Fring‘s car and trying to convince Hank not to do it. But once he‘s done it, he insists on joining Hank for future detective work, even making him postpone for a day because he‘s apparently not feeling well but REALLY wants to be there for the next session.
      Edit: and of course, Hank knows about Walt‘s second cell phone, but no affair (which was Hank‘s first guess for why he would have it) ever came to light.

    I never once thought about Walt passing the torch to Jesse when he went to deliver the money. I wonder if that happened (obviously Jesse wouldn't work with Todd), how things might have played out. We know Jesse never would have worked with Walt again, but would he have decided to be Heisenberg? The more I'm thinking about it, I think Jesse would have refused, but it's an interesting alternate reality to think about.

  • @James_Wisniewski

    Since Walt is out of the business, you're never going to catch him in the act of making meth. Given that, there are two roads that Hank could go down: 1) he finds the money and gets Walt on tax evasion, Al Capone-style; 2) he gets Walt to confess to one of his many murders. Even if he, say, finds someone who used to work for Walt and gets him to flip, that would be a "your word vs mine" type situation. I won't spoil anything; I'll let you figure out what Hank does on your own. All I'll say is, it's going to be spectacular.

    • @waszner
      @waszner 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Astro Countless things could've tripped him up. Mistakes that were hard or near impossible to avoid. Or ones he consciously made.
      But what does him in is a stupid little book he's dumb enough to keep in his bathroom that Hank just happens to stumble upon.

    • @waszner
      @waszner 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Astro No, I hate it because it's such a... coincidental, easily avoidable thing.
      Like, imagine if in an action movie or something,
      the main hero knocked down a banana peel from the villain's desk during their final fight, and lost said fight because before delivering the final punch he slipped on the peel, fell down a flight of stairs, broke his back and the villain killed him.
      That's pretty much how... organic this feels.
      Obviously the situation afterwards is different, much more interesting in this case, so on and so forth, but that's how it feels to me.

    • @Linator4
      @Linator4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kylebradley5668 Exactly! The stupidity of it is what makes it so great. That doesn’t mean it’s bad writing. Walt’s defining trait is being an egomaniac who wants the credit for his empire.
      Blind Wave even pointed out that it would be his downfall. In S4, he just as easily could’ve NOT told Hank about Gale copying notes & he would’ve given up thinking Heisenberg was dead.
      When it comes to the book, Walt has always kept a piece of his victims with him. For example:
      - cutting the crust off his sandwich = Crazy 8
      - acting like a friendly store manager then shifting to cold drug lord = Gus
      - folding a towel to rest his knees while puking in the toilet = Gus
      - ordering a drink on the rocks = Mike
      - proudly keeping a Walt Whitman book = Gale (he didn’t kill him directly but he put Jesse up to it)
      He’s not the only character to do it either. Tomas (Andrea’s kid brother) tells Jesse to “bounce” at one point which is what Combo told Tomas before Tomas shot him. Todd shoots Drew (the kid at the train heist) & keeps his tarantula jar as a trophy. It just shows the brilliant attention-to-detail BrBa has.
