Hi lovelies, it’s been while but glad to upload this before August ends! I address some serious and personal topics about my experience as a small biz owner. Idk when or how long it’ll take til I post again but I for sure won't be quitting. As always, I’m thankful to have you guys here and I wouldn’t have made it this far without you! 🥰

Hey there krystalline.. I hope you're well.. Please take some rest :(
And I know I'm being selfish and you need rest and you're also busy.. But I wanted your help..
I've been wanting to open a shop like yours for a while now (you're my inspiration) but I don't know where to start from
.. If you don't mind then can you make a video about it? (Like, where to buy beads, what to do to start a business, something like that?) I can wait don't worry :)
Anyways I loved the video❤ please take care of your health, eat well and sleep well❤

Thank you and take good care of yourself too! I’ll keep that in mind and see if I can make a video about it. But for now here’s my advice:
      1. Getting supplies: come up with a list of necessary things you need such as beads, tools, packaging, etc. Everyone’s budget is different but it’s better to invest in higher quality items if you can afford it. I mainly use aliexpress cause it’s affordable and has a lot of nice items
      2. Practice: Before you’re selling, it’s good to improve your skills. You don’t need to be an expert but make things you’d be willing to buy as if someone else were selling them
      3. Coming up with a business name, logo, aesthetic, products, goals and packaging: How do you want to display your business to consumers? What’s smth unique and special about your business? What makes you stand out?
      4. Pricing and keeping track of expenses: What kinds of items are you selling? How much are you pricing your items? How much does it cost to make your products? These depend on your business and you’ll need to keep track of all your purchases. The way I do it is to track how much I’ve spent in total and subtract how much I’ve earned to learn my profit

      5. Shipping: How are you packaging your products? Are you shipping worldwide or only locally? How are you going to ship/deliver your products? Are your costumers paying for shipping or will you include the extra costs in the price of your items? For me, I use USPS and buy prepaid shipping labels on Pirate Ship. I find the exact cost and have my costumers pay for it. I mainly use bubble mailers but boxes are another good consideration.
      6. Where to sell: are you selling locally (aka in person) or online? Which sites will you use? Will you create a website? I’ve used etsy and it’s a good starting place but there are a lot of fees. I’ve heard of ppl selling on Depop and mercari but that’s smth to consider on your own time. I use my Instagram as my selling platform since it doesn't take any fees and I have ppl DM me to purchase. For that method, you’ll also need to consider how you'll receive payments online such as through PayPal
      7. Marketing: Who is your target audience and how will you capture their attention? What social media platforms will you use? Are you able to create content? How will you promote your business and what kind of image will you give yourself?
      8. Consistency: it’s good to be consistent whether that be for your upload schedule or your packaging. How often are there new products coming out? Are you going through with well thought-out plans and goals? Sometimes it’s good to experiment and change some things up but it comes at a risk. It depends on what you're trying to achieve and change. For example, are you trying to switch up your brand image? Are you changing your materials to improve the quality?

Another thing to consider is if you’re working along side with other ppl. It’s good to have other ppl help but it’s possible to start smth small primarily on your own as long as you have access to materials and knowledge to guide you! This is all that I can think of atm but definitely do more research before officially taking on a big commitment
