i use doll stands for mine mate dont trust standing without broke the leg on my batman begins when it fell off my shelf sadly ten years ago first day i got it great vids tho mate
Ufff... but people say, that the cape can become damaged very easy, since it is not real leather, so.... how to avoid damages on tha fabric? specially since most glass displays get overheated.
The only damage I’ve noticed is where the rods fit into the cape. The material can fray a bit. Other then not, coming with a stand, and some minor paint chipping as mentioned in the video, it’s pretty good I thought. It’s by no means the high standard of Hot Toys. I can’t comment on displaying the fig in a glass cabinet as mine just sits on a tabletop, but I haven’t really heard much about the cape and over heating. Maybe it will need moisturising now and again?
@@MattandTheRetroRoom the problem is that the old version had quality issues, and a few differences, and since the new version, even the box is the same, as a buyer is nearly impossible to figure out if the seller is actually selling the new version... do you know if the new Batman and Catwoman, have something sspecial in the box to differentiate them from the ones from 5 years ago? sellers wont open them to check the whip LOL... an I don;t think any youtuber gave us that, so we might end up buying old figures.
I’m sure there is a way to check. Maybe the box has a different licensing date on it or something like they normally do. If I can dig out the box I’ll let you know 👍

@@MattandTheRetroRoom I don't know why neca on the re release have done this for? The first release it came apart and it had the silver part. Also the cowl can be removed and there is a full keaton head sculpt underneath with hair.

I’ve preordered the Hot Toys The Batman fig, which is out next year. Also got Vulture by Toys-Era and NECA ED-209. The last two should be with me in the couple of months hopefully.
No it's NOT just you having seen this now the badly painted unconvincing eyes are awful. you could have taken a chance & repainted them, yourself, using a tiny brush to apply some varnish to give them some life.
Which costume out of...7 do you think is most impressive? For me (as is the case with the film) I like the BAT MAN BEGINS "suite" the most as I think it is the most believable & functional, but I don't think NECA make an 18" version of that costume, some of the NECA merchandise looks better than other stuff, the 18" Endo skeleton/TERMINATOR is a BIG disappointment, as is the 18" ROBOCOP, but they did a good ALIEN in this scale, which is not spot on, compared to others, BUT better than their Robot character offerings.
From the Nolan trilogy, I do prefer the begins suit. The cowl is more fierce then the other version and it just looks right, even thought the other one is more practical. But I’m old school and the mighty Keaton, Batman suits will always sit at the top of my list, with Pattinson’s a close second.
I own this gem myself. I absolutely adore it lol. I seriously stop and admire it every single day. The amount of detail is astonishing.

Is it just me or does Batman look cross-eyed? I bought one the other week and its the first thing I noticed opening the box. I had to return it.
Lol, at certain angles, he does look a bit crossed eyed, but not front facing as far as I know. Shame you had to return it.
