Speed Limit Review (2023)

As part of Government's Road Safety Strategy, a Speed Limit Review was undertaken in 2022-2023. This report, along with 3 sub reports was published in September 2023 and made 26 recommendations in relation to the system of speed limits in Ireland. These recommendations have now been adopted and are being implemented with key challenges relating to statutory guidelines, adoption of bye-laws, signs and communications. In this webinar our panel of speakers from the Department of Transport, TII and Arup discuss the background and implementation challenges presented by the report.
