I knew Dri in college and was a Steeler fan. While he didnt help himself on KRs, Todd Haley didnt seem to know how to use him on offense.but what a time of be a Kent State fan. 2012 forever ♥️
I am not lying but Dri Archer was one of my assistant coaches on my team after he came down to Florida after he left the Steelers and I saw first hand how fast he was

We did give him a chance, he only averaged about 17 yards per kick return and he screwed up most every chance he got to play outside of special teams. Releasing him did nothing but help us, he was a complete waste of money.

Who is faster than both?
It's crazy to think that a guy that's 5ft 7inches can tie the record for the least amount of strides in a 40. And the person who he tied with was 6ft 5inches (Calvin Johnson). Btw the record was 17 strides. So let's just imagine if Dri Archer was 6ft 5inches, that's about 15 strides! Now my question is if Dri were that tall, would be able to beet Usain Bolt in a 100 meter race? I may be wrong but I think Dri could.

+woodglen57 No, because he probably wouldn't be as fast. If someone with short legs makes long strides, it wouldn't translate the same if he was taller. His strides would actually shorten, as the actuation of his joints and muscles were farther apart from each other. This means that Calvin Johnson taking 17 strides is significantly harder than Dri taking 17 strides due to the actuation points of the runner, and why Calvin Johnson's time is significantly harder to obtain for a taller person.
Most Olympic sprinters are also rather short for this exact reason, with Usain Bolt being the outlier. He's 6'5, and almost everyone he competes against is shorter than 6', and most are around 5'9. This is because not only does he generally carry more body weight, but his body takes much more to propel it forward. The reason why he's so successful is his unique ability to lengthen his strides, making each stride he takes 144% his height. This is rare, and often looked down upon in sprinting.
There is a common misconception that longer strides equate to faster runners, but it's often not the case, as sprinters are often taught to keep your strides shorter than your height in inches.
Anyways, TL;DR - He wouldn't be as fast because his strides would shorten.

gitanodel69 The general range of champions over the last 15 years has been 5'9 to 6'3, excluding Bolt who is 6'5. Of the 15 World meets, only 2 people over 6'0 excluding Bolt have won. In the four Olympics we've had during this time period (2000, 2004, 2008, 2012), again excluding Bolt, there have only been 7 total medalists, Bronze and Silver included, who were 6'0 or taller.

I just picked this guy up on madden 15 ultimate team. He is a 57 overall but has a 95 speed. I use him as a kick/punt returner. I also picked him up for 200 coins. Great deal!

First of all, Le'Veon has a lot more power than Archer and can break tackles, which has been a huge plus for his yardage gains. Dri is a little guy. And if you're actually paying attention and know anything about football, blockers aren't supposed to just make a hole, they have to keep the hole clear. They're not doing that for this little guy. Same reason why Blount didn't get the same kind of yardage like Bell did when he was on the Steelers. But, look what happened when he got back with the Patriots. NE's OL did their job better than Pittsburgh.

You argument kinda confused me on that. Plus archer should just be put at slot where he would excel more and be put for punt and kick returns
There should be no confusion. Bell was as close to be a power back as Blount is. He shows it by running through defenders.
Bell is super patient, but he's also bigger and stronger than Archer and is able to bounce off and break through tackles. Archer is 5'8"/174 lbs. Bell is 6'1"/224. That's a big difference in the NFL. So, comparing them is silly. Archer does need to learn a little more patience. But, he's blazing fast, he just isn't big enough to absorb the hits. It's only his 2nd season. Pittsburgh drafted him for a reason and still see the potential. They actually have interest in him being a receiver and kick returner. He's someone they see having more than one duty.
Saying he's "terrible" is overkill.

Loved this kid . But what about his highlight (HIGH- LIGHTS) translates to the NFL?! He was a 3rd round pick after an injury ridden senior year . If you looked at Chris Johnson’s film, his vision stood out to me more than ANYTHING .also his ability to make people miss BEFORE he gets in the open field . You rarely see that with speeders at the RB position because they have always relied on speed and never focus on vision , body control , cutting , stopping on a dime . Pass protection . Creating space for your QB As a receiver so your YPC will be about double your YPC out the backfield . Smh it disappoints me , but loved him in the NCAA no doubt

To answer the question below he is primarily a RB which hurts his draft stock. Seen projections from rounds 3-7 depending who is projecting. Even seen some say he isn't an NFL talent at all and may be UDFA.
