Lovely 🥰, the sharp strike on the shields never ceases to amaze me🙆♂️.(especially for something that old!!) . Thanks for sharing, Jamie.
Yes it's really obvious if you compare to some of the past few years bullion sovs they have nothing on the older ones 😁
Ouch! I got a Victoria with shield from 1861 for about 500 pounds, which makes it 25% premium with a average wear. I regret not watching your video but it is a lovely coin that will be saved for many years!
With where gold seems to be going at the moment that might seem cheap soon
I paid £450 for my first shield about 4yrs ago, because it was the first one that became available to me, however I know how OSA feels, because I paid £540 for one that was graded fine, and it really wasn't.
I had used that Blackpool bricks and mortar online supplier for well over 20 orders and the issue remained unresolved, so I put it down to experience.
In the mean time, I started using, a London supplier that takes credit cards, now I get additional insurance, free next day signed for delivery and after 8 orders they have yet to disappoint .
Wow you are powering on with your purchases . I just picked up a 1863 PCGS AU55 shieldback sovereign but paid too much simply because I just wanted 1 nice example ,equivalent of £475 .It is so hard to find nice coins for a fare price because we pay 10% GST tax on top.
Very nice 👌🏽 It's a shame about the GST but I bet it looks fantastic 😁
@@SovereignSaurus In the UK there are no taxes because they are still coin of the realm.

Hello I have a NFLD $2. Queen Victoria GOLD coin with reverse axis, it has an H under the date. Where do I find out the value in Nova Scotia. Thank you.
@@SovereignSaurus no there isn't one here. I will google to see the closest, probably Halifax. Thank you.
How much would cost 1892 with victoria D:G:??
At the moment full sovereigns are around £450 in the UK, you might be able to convert that to your preferred currency if it's different?
Simple answer..... About £360 However... The cheapest you can buy them for is a different question all together😃
Interesting, i am curious now.i just bought one voor 10 dollar.and i cab buy a lot more.🤷🏽♂️
So are you willing to part with any of the duplicates?
For now I'm probably going to hang on and see where prices take us
I had some Young victoria sovereigns which I bought and sold with a increase in value. I really want to buy some more, I've nocied dealers sell best value bullion sovereigns, but also young heads with a premium. What is the chance of getting young heads in the best value if they are also selling young heads spereately with a bigger premium?
I have had some young heads in best value that have been in nice enough condition. Sometimes dealers will pick out the nicest examples for those that you pay extra for and the average bullion ones might go out in best value. To some people they'd pay a little more premium, to other stackers they don't care and just continue on best value
I got a 1871 a little while ago ebay , over paid, nice condition but not as nice as that one. Problem with ebay i guess, always a gamble
If you can keep the average down with some good value bullion it shouldn't hurt too much in the long run 👌🏽
Hi SS, I always love your videos and find them interesting. So much so, I do now purchase sovereigns and half sov's when premiums are low. Best regards
Awesome I hope they look after you in time 😁
