As we look around at the current spiritual climate it is clear we need an awakening. In this episode, we look at how the leaders of the First Awakening prevailed in prayer to birth that awakening. Intensity In Prayer!!!!!! I Love It And Want It!
Thanks again for the exhortation and encouragement to pray, Robert! I've been dealing with some financial struggles in my own life, and I thought, "who am I to pray for others, when I don't have it together?" But I decided to pray anyway for others. After I was done praying, immediately I got a knock on the door. It was the mailman. He gave me a package and my other mail, along with a letter. Even though I expected bad news, It ended up being a check from our mortgage company for what we overpaid in our property taxes! Praise God! I had been listening to Psalms all that morning as I painted. "I cried out to the Lord and He delivered me." It came to pass, just as His promised declared. I got on my knees and thanked the Lord in tears for His kindness to me. I am stirred up to continue praying for revival in my life, my church, and my community! You are right. A quick, 5-minute prayer is better than nothing, but it won't cut it for revival. I say, "Lord give us a desire to pray and seek you for revival, and then bring it to pass, according to Your word!"
