I would buy the Lisa Eldridge lipstick. The others take the pricing to far upwards. It starts to verge on the ridiculous (like Chanel's). But to each their own.

Those are fun! I also like the limited edition Guerlain one I’ve seen featured a couple places with the crystal image of a lipstick. I think for my first high end lipstick I’d totally go for one of these. The bag charm is super cute ☺. Expensive sure, but I’m finding the drugstore lips are less pigmented than they used to be. U can still score ofc, but a minimal look with a bold lip is one of my absolute fave looks. I’d splurge on a lip and a great gift for people who kind of have everything they need.

Sam the most luxury lipstik i ever tried the Dries van noten Tailored nude and violet silk the Case absolut great designe. Their are full pigments nice matt velvets hydrating lightweight and so comfortable better than the new Dior velvets. And refillable! The refill costs 37€ and the case 36€ they are perfect gifts and worth to try it out. The best formula i ever tried! 💙

I love watching your tutorials, and the chit chat is great. Would be great if you did Madonna makeup, from the film desperately seeking Susan. I think this was when she looked her best. I dont think she ever improved from that time. Could you tell us how you got into makup, and what was the first makeup product you bought, if you can remember that is. I love your bits of chat, so interesting and a nice chill and wind down after work. I Just purchased the chunky gold hoop earings you were wearing, on another video. At 53 now, I would absolutely buy any of these for myself. I have both the LBR and LE and love them equally. Depends what character I’m channeling that day 😊. I’d love to say I’m a Shiv but deep down I’m probably more like a Dominique, in age at least 😂 x

I didn't like the sound that Chanel lipstick was making when you put it on. Was it just not assembled properly or does it really rattle in the case like that?

Thank you Sam for showing us these luxury lipsticks. It would be good if all lipsticks were refillable , keeping the decorative case . The difficulty is with the refill , often made of mixed materials . Watching Lisa Eldridge's recent video, I wasn't aware of this problem, until she explained how long it had taken her to have a completely recyclable refill manufactured , made of one material only.
I am not sure , but I think La Bouche Rouge used to offer a faux (vegan) leather case , but maybe they don't do it anymore now.

Well the Chanel lipstick💄hit the spot for me, not the colour though. Not that I could afford £140 anyway, but I can always dream 😏.
I have the CHANEL and the LBR and I have to be honest, none is worth what I paid for. I don't carry them because I prefer a good lip balm on me. Skipped the LE. Sill spending the money on good skincare;)
I have close to 70 % of the Lisa Eldrige line of lippies and I am constantly disappointed with the matts as the BREAK IN THE TUBE. They are lovely colors but it breaks my heart to open a tube and find the bullet broken or have it beak while using it! I want to try the new offering, but none of the colors other than Audrey have excited me enough to pull the trigger. I have two of the Labouche Rouge Lipsticks and one blush and only purchased the refills, they are flimsy I find myself never using them (you have inspired me to go buy the cases!). The Channel color was GORGEOUS on you, so perhaps that one and for myself BUT recently I purchased my first Dries Van Noten and I am OBSESSED. 99 Favorite Red is INSANE!!!!!! I think it has become my favorite formula hands down and that is AWFULL because it is WAY TOO PRICEY to buy as many from the line as I would like. Le sigh...
I have seen some very good replicas, such as the bag I bought at kislux . The craftsmanship of modern replicas is becoming increasingly sophisticated, and they are within millimeters of each other. It is difficult to tell which ones are fake.

Really think you should have mentioned The The Lisa Eldridge refillable lipstick is The first time - ever - that an entire casing is 100% recyclable. All of the refill is made of aluminium and therefore it can all be recycled. A beauty industry first.
It’s just a gifting guide lol no need to mention the date it was made the weight it is after production the size of the bullet etc nobody cares really , if it looks good and feels good winner winner chicken dinner

Yeah, as that's what people really look for in an expensive lipstick. Most people who look at more expensive lipsticks have another 200 at home, have not finished a bullet in yeas and in 2 months will forget about it

Sam is always really conscious of using a very wide range of products from high street to high end. This video is obviously high end, but there’s lots of more budget option videos and content too. x
