The Duolingo English Test is the newest English proficiency test available for English students to take to validate their English skills. You usually need to take a test like the Duolingo English Test before you apply to a university or college in an English-speaking country.

@@chanuhearthizacker6896 practice materials for duolingo. I have taken subscription of teacher luke duolingo exercises for a month. But you can also find stuff related to duolingo on internet. Speaking and comprehension are very important. I got essay to speak for 3 mins and I don’t know much about it but whatever came to my mind at that time so I confidently delivered it. Moreover, learn 5-10 words where your mind wait to speak and you will like ummmm….. so you are memorizing sentences in your mind. Comprehension is important part as well because you need to understand it what is the correct word for the blank. In your test if you are facing more hard questions time to time it means you are performing well because it starts with easy questions but later you will see some difficult questions. Mostly students don’t receive their results because either they are focusing more on keyboard or whether their face is not seen clearly in the camera. I used light infront of my face and please switch off all the background apps there are also videos on this…. If there is any app open in the background then you will not be able to give the test next time because they thought you have cheated in your exam. Do as many practice test and there is sample test available on the duolingo website if you got above 135-140 three or five times in a row…. You will achieve marks around 130-140….. It shows how consistent you are…..Best of luck👍🏻
@@chanuhearthizacker6896 While writing keep focus both on camera and keyboard. Make your typing speed faster because the more you write on your topic the more examiner judge your writing and grammar skills. Write till the end of the second

@@gresipatel7684 either one is fine, but I strongly suggest you to focus only on the screen. like the main part of the screen not like the sides or camera. one of my friend got canceled because she focused on the camera, we both thinking that the judge was thinking she was not really focusing on camera, but the behind of the camera. I think it is safer to focus on main part of the screen only, and adjust the camera/screen of laptop to make sure that you have your whole face in it. I believe DET has the parts of identification and adjusting camera section before the real test begins. Good luck!

It took me around 2 months to prepare and I had watched all your videos from the beginning. Hey Luke, just i took my DET 2 days back. During the preparation phase i was blank and Mundane at starting but later, i discovered your channel for DET. Tbh it was boring for me to watch long videos of your channel and later i followed one of your small videos for speaking which eventually grabbed my attention to your YT videos guess what, before 12hrs of DET exam i was legit watching your 3hr Video(Essential lessons). At starting i was scared to take the test but ultimately after following your tips i got 135 overall(140-L,140-C,125-C,120-P). Got results today, with minimal practice I scored 135 in first attempt. Was hell scared what if my scores are uncertified since I had to apply for the internships and had very hard deadline to take the test. Thank you so much for your guidance.
Tip: Just for 1 hour, don’t move an inch even though the back pains, bear the the pain and give the test because if you sit straight and just look at the screen, then you look sincere and your test will be certified for sure.
Back pain fucking hell for me as well 😂 but still you don’t have to loose your spot

My college minimum requirement was 115 and I got 140🥰 Thank you so much teacher Luke!! I watched several videos from your channel and understood the test basics and then decided to switch to DET ready since I really like the interactive learning!! @@ShahadSs-uc7dl I think my first score doing some prep test was 115 or something like that. I prepared watching teacher luke videos to understand the test and I did a lot of prep tests on the duolingo test website. Good luck!

In the Duolingo test, does it count if we don't click the next down at the end before the exact time of each section?
thank you teacher Luke for providing the numerous lessons pertinent to the Duolingo English Test. it helps much. on the Duolingo practice test, I always get 105-120 which is my target. therefore, if I got that score, is it possible for me to get up to 100 in real test?
I think it depends. Depends on how are you on test day and many other things. I was getting also this practice scores and got 130 on the real test!

I have just got 125 on my Duolingo test(with 110 in production). I would like to thank you for your significant contribution to the Duolingo community. Although I was not prepared enough, after taking only one mock test, I opted for a real test and got 125. I think I would have gotten more if I had not misspelled some easy spellings. As I had purchased two tests, one test is yet to be taken.

I downloaded PDFs for the fill in the blank questions
I actually read for about two weeks or less , so if you keep practicing I am sure you will do great

Somebody help me, my Duolingo has stopped working like before when I'm trying to used it's that Duolingo has problem issues of network connection every time
After some attempts at practice tests, I managed to get 150-160 in my latest practice test.. My plan is to get at least 155 in the real test which is equivalent to a dream score of band 9 in IELTS.. Despite the practice tests, still I don't feel confident enough to take the main test lest I should get less than 155.. I want to study at one of those ivy league colleges for my MBA.. Many of those colleges have a minimum duolingo requirement of 125.. My question is does a score like 155/160 increase my chances of getting admission in one those colleges or anything over 125 won't make any difference??
