I'm suprised at how much I like this watch!! Looks awesome in all the dial colours, personally I'd go for the black as an all rounder but I love the green
The colors are fucking killer!! The matte finish is so clean. Even tho it’s not the green dial from the Chronomat or chronographs but man it’s still wonderful!!
Power reserve of only 38 hours does not cut it in today's market. Watches at a fraction of the price with double that. This should have been considered 50+ hours would have increased sales significantly.
Great review. There literally isn't anything I don't like about this watch and I'd go for the black - a perfect alternative/companion to my white dial SMP diver. The proportions are perfect for me too - 8" wrist.
If the see thru caseback will make the watch thicker then no thanks, keep it closed since its just a 2824 base movement. I also suggest pointing out what changed compare to the prior Avenger collection when you review these new models.
Thanks for mentioning the bezel action. I tried one out in the store and it surprised me… it’s the closest bezel feel and sound to my Sub. Very impressive and made me want to buy the watch on the apot. No other reviews comment on this.
Blue dial Avenger on blue strap is in my wish list and now I’m sure that I will go with previous generation. Because of previous gen blue dial colour looks brighter, because of old logo is better, because no ugly protruding screws on the bezel. Previous Avenger is better watch for better price.
Brushed so much better than polished! And NO on the exhibition case back - it’ll only make the watch thicker. And plus given the vibe of the watch and Breitling’s approach for form, the case back just goes against it.
The few changes that I would make to this watch would be a date window at 6 o'clock, a higher power reserve, and if those two things are achieved the third thing would probably take care of itself, a new, inhouse, movement. And if priced correctly it shouldn't be that much more expensive bc charging nearly $5k for the current model is overcharging for what is being offered.
6k in Canada for an ETA watch with 38 hour power reserve? No thanks. Not when a black bay heritage 41 with in house and cosc and metas is a thousand dollars cheaper and looks more premium. This breitling at 2 to 3k would kill it. 6k though is way to high.
@@SIZZO76the only Fanboy here is you, 6k for that Breitling 😂😂😂 after a year you can be happy if it's worth 3k. Guess you loser bought it at MSRP 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Will need to see this one in person… for me, the looks lack character. Also, what’s the difference between these and the Colt they released a few years ago? They feel very similar except the Colt was a bit smaller.
I saw one in the store today and decided to try on and I was pleasantly surprised. The bezel has a unique depth and the dial with the rim around it kinda of popped. I would not pay retail for this watch though.
Always feel with Breitling that you’re getting too little for your money. The price in the used market reflect that. The power reserve is a big let down. I tried the Avenger blue dial on today and it’s nothing special, my aquaracer from 2007 looks similar.
Maybe you dont see many vintage ceramic watches as they werent popular until after 2005 when Rolex introduce them , although the first watch with ceramic was released in 1962 and many brands flirted with ceramic in mid 1980s
This is a military tool watch, so I like that they made it that way. A tiffany blue would not fit to the watch and I think Breitling would lower themselves by copying Rolex. Also the date window at 6 would be to stylisch, not tool like, the same with the open case back. The thing that I would have expected is a movement with around 60h (or more) power reserve. and maybe a 41mm case, that's it. Anything else is very well done - and I am quite picky with watches.
Hey Chisholm, what do you think about the new SuperOcean? Saw it few days ago (42 mm) and it looks much better on wrist than on pictures, thin case, ceramic bezel and new bracelet 😍
Saw this in the flesh the other day, personally i think the previous generation was far better looking, and again just my opinion but the winged logo looks so much nicer than the B ..
Nice timepiece but no on the display back. This is because IMHO the movement size at 25.x mm wouldn't look good inside a 42mm case, thus the reason for the steel caseback. Overall, a nice timepiece build to accomplish performance and image at a price so the compromises of 38 hr power reserve and small movement inside a larger case are among the tradeoffs.
Thanks for reviewing the new Breitling Avenger releases. Being a Breitling fan, I don't think the brand receives enough attention and I appreciate seeing content about the brand's offerings. I have the 43mm blue version of this watch and love it. If I'd had a choice to purchase the 42mm version, I probably would have opted for the 42mm piece. I do prefer the blue of the 43 over that offered on the 42 however. The 43mm actually fits fine and looks appropriate on my 7" wrist and I'm sure the 42mm version would work even better. The positioning of the date window is very subjective and personally, unless it's on a chronograph watch, I prefer it located at the traditional 3:00 position. I'm one of those weird guys that actually likes it at the 4:30 position as well, perhaps even more so. Keep up the great work.
I love this watch, especially the blue and green dials. The design is fantastic and the toolless micro adjust in the clasp on the bracelet allows for a perfect fit! The only thing I would criticize would be the power reserve. It should be more, especially in this price point.
38 hr power reserve is a though sell though. While I enjoy interacting with my watches, this just seems so outdated because of that, especially in a fairly large watch
It’s literally the only thing that stops me from buying this. I tried it on last week and it was magnificent. I had to have it but then they told me it was only 38 hours. Damn, not even two days!!! Tough pass
Not feeling it. The arabic numerals on the bezel and removed the breitling wing logo makes it look generic like other divers out there in my opinion. The raised blocks on the bezel at 15,30 and 45 minute on the 43 model was a cool touch. But it's just unecessary on this one when it has an arabic numeral bezel.
Great review! I didn’t see a lug to lug measurement though. That would’ve been nice. I’m guessing pretty reasonable if he can pull it off with 6.5 wrist. Negatives are the movement-38 hr PR?!?! 🤪🤪 Really?? Cmon Breitling do better. Barely over 1 day is pathetic in 2023, chronometer is nice touch. Don’t need open case back to see that mvmt though.
Good looking watch.. Do see like and trust Bristling? My only outside is the whole name AVENUE. Are they into superhero time? Heh.. At least try didn't call it the Assassin's
Harrison, but not as always. I understand you need to do sponsored reviews or reviews for brands you sell and want to keep happy but come on.....comparing it to an Omega Aquatterra World Timer for thickness and LOL it is heavier than the CW because the components are a little bit more premium OMG! Yes Breitling will have higher finish, but it is heavier because the case and bracelet are heavier, not because it's ETA movement has mystical premium components. I stopped watching at that bit. You can do an honest upbeat review without talking complete nonsense.
Nice review, but please work on your filler words - you are using "pretty", "kind of" and "quite" every 10 sec, and it gets very tedious. It also makes it sound like you are hedging your opinions. The watch itself is a rather lazy update IMO. They should have opted for the B20 movement with 70 hrs power reserve and a COSC certification at this price point. The flat black dial works but it doesn't work with blue or green. The 42mm is the right size, but lugs should have been shorter.
Thanks for watching team!!! Remember to follow our IG to keep up to date with loads of watch snobbery - instagram.com/chisholmhunterwatches?igshid=OWNycTI5em15dnNx&
The only thing I don’t like is the B logo instead of a the wings logo. Apart from that this watch is a perfect every day.
Just got one, won’t lie the B without wings will have to grow on me
100%. So close to perfect
Better w/o the wings. Wings make it look like Invicta.
@@PicoLatrinidadwho do you think invicta copied. Breitling didn’t patented their logo strong enough or something
That Orange seconds hand is beautiful.
I'm suprised at how much I like this watch!! Looks awesome in all the dial colours, personally I'd go for the black as an all rounder but I love the green
wife just bought me this watch in green with leather strap, absolutely love it with a passion
These Breitling nailed the dial absolutely! *As always* I love your photography
And I love your mug haha
Appreciate that mate, thank you!
The green is stunning
The colors are fucking killer!! The matte finish is so clean. Even tho it’s not the green dial from the Chronomat or chronographs but man it’s still wonderful!!
I love my 2019 Avenger with the OG Breitling logo. So rugged yet timeless.
I actually prefer is slightly over this one.
Power reserve of only 38 hours does not cut it in today's market. Watches at a fraction of the price with double that. This should have been considered 50+ hours would have increased sales significantly.
I never understood why people are so enamored with power reserve.
Just bought the blue one this week, and it amazed my colleges at work.. this watch is simply amazing.
The green dial is amazaing!
Looks like an upgraded version of the 2018 Breitling Colt Chronometer. That black dial is really nice
I absolutely love the choice of matte dial and the date at 3 o’clock. At 6 would be more symmetrical but I now think it is quite odd.
Great review. There literally isn't anything I don't like about this watch and I'd go for the black - a perfect alternative/companion to my white dial SMP diver. The proportions are perfect for me too - 8" wrist.
Appreciate that mate!
The Avengers 3 handers wear smaller than specs. Love this offering from Breitling. Only wished Breitling kept the winged B logo.
I’m really liking Breitling. They’re making some sweet stuff.
Love the bracelet on this piece with its slanted links and Brushed finish
this man deserves attention 🙌🙌
Well thank you man, appreciate that
@@ChisholmHunterOfficial yes sirrrr, please keep up the good work 💯💯
The green one is fantastic!!!! 💪👍👏😍😍😍
Great video! A white dial would’ve been 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Thanks mate, I agree. A white dial would look awesome!

For the cost, it should of come with the B20 movement and the lug to lug length should of been tightened up to under 50mm
The new logo though... i want the wings back 😩
Brushed bracelet is a welcome change along with a push button clasp unlike the Avenger 43. The protruding screws around the bezel look weird though.
fake comment and image
I have a yellow 43 that i absolutely love! It's very thick but i love it. These look pretty awesome as well.
Thanks for mentioning the bezel action. I tried one out in the store and it surprised me… it’s the closest bezel feel and sound to my Sub. Very impressive and made me want to buy the watch on the apot. No other reviews comment on this.
I mean a seamaster is just as nice
I like the blue Breitling Avenger model. I currently have a Tag Heuer Aquaracer automatic 200 in blue. 😁😉
Love this, Breitling is mostly for sketchy people in dustier environments, but that is a handsome piece.
Lol wut?
Read watches of espionage. He explains it well.
Tiffany Blue??! Jeez that CW has gone to your head Harrison….apart from that madness, good review 👍🏻
Hahaha it would be cool though!! Cheers mate, appreciate that.
I love the green one! The Michaelangelo from Teenage mutant ninja turtles! 😂🤪
Blue dial Avenger on blue strap is in my wish list and now I’m sure that I will go with previous generation. Because of previous gen blue dial colour looks brighter, because of old logo is better, because no ugly protruding screws on the bezel.

They are nice. But I personally prefer the previous generation…….
this one or the Tag Heuer aquaracer in green aswell, i cant decide what do you think guys?

No one pays 5k for these
I prefer the previous version, more personality.... and the "real" logo!
Yeah I love the original logo. Wearing it right now😊
Invicta logo?

I know you always pay way too much for a breitling longines you get a superior movement with 70 hours power reserve for under 2000 pounds in uk

Brushed Avenger Chrono looks much more cool .. however small size option is great move from Breitling 👌
And why didn’t they install a caliber with a 70-hour power reserve there. They also have Tudor ones.😢😔
Hey Chisholm, what do you think about the new SuperOcean? Saw it few days ago (42 mm) and it looks much better on wrist than on pictures, thin case, ceramic bezel and new bracelet 😍
I was looking at the Tag Heuer aquaracer 42 and this one. Price difference is about US$1400. What makes this more expensive? Help me to decide.
Name only. Power reserve is worse as I believe the AR is 70 for tag.
Longines hydroconquest gmt >>>
I love stainless steel bezels. Way nicer than ceramic colored ones, in my opinion. If done well, of course
The green one is very nice. Light and not very high, and finally a decent clasp from Breitling. But I have several dive watches I like…
What is the lug to lug? Great video by the way :)!
51.2mm. Too big for most with smaller wrist.
Yup, way to big, what a shame!

My comment is the 38 hour power reserve is really old school and it is not enough for today's use.
Better than an Apple Watch lol
Not bad at all 👍
This watch is now much better for a small wrist. Now they have a watch for everyone in their collection. Not every one likes a clock on the wrist.

It's a nice watch, but the 38-hour power reserve is too short for this price.
