Seattle Kraken defeated the New York Islanders by a 3-2 score the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 16. Kraken forward Yanni Gourde scored his first goal of the season at 8:10 into the first period with assists from Brandon Tanev (2) and Tye Kartye (2). Down 2-1, the Kraken got two goals in the third period, the first from left winger Jared McCann at the 5:26 mark, his ninth goal of the season. McCann was assisted by Andre Burakovsky (8) and Ryker Evans (8). With less than 4 minutes remaining in the game, Kraken defenseman Jamie Oleksiak scored his second goal of the season with assists from Yanni Gourde (5) and Brandon Tanev (3). Referees were Gord Dwyer and Furman South. Linesmen were Travis Gawryletz and Caleb Apperson. Attendance was 17,151. My wife and I sat in section 214 row D seats 9-10. Center ice.
