Drew, go back to the place downstairs that smells musky and buy the chair with the painting on the back. It’s a Hitchcock chair. Hitchcock was a furniture factory in Connecticut. When they first started the pattern on the chair was their trademark. They did dining tables, beds, desks and chairs with that pattern. They were known across New England for their beautiful furniture. Then they closed and another company bought their trademarks for the furniture etc. the originals are expensive and hunted for across the country. You can read about them. If you get it and it hasn’t sold don’t paint it. Just clean it and you will have a beautiful piece of furniture no longer available. I hope it’s still there.

That frame would be gorgeous with a mirror ,one with some beautiful patina ,gorgeous .
Thankyou for featuring art in shopping, and in your room makeovers. Such important and inspirational pieces. I am so over some of the uninspired words etc put on walls. I grew up in Laguna Beach, an art colony, so art has always been important.
Ok Drew In case no one else told you: that lady profile in the green frame is not lace. It is called Filet crochet done by hand.
Also you look at 2 cute small drawers, they were a part from antique sewing machine. Wish I could take ya shopping one day, but never gonna happen, so this is next best thing. Stay a cool guy.

Those silver long stem cups make awesome mini flower arrangements for either a small space or going down the center of a long table. They're great when you have small flowers in your garden that have short stems.

Glad to see your Mum, thank you to your parents for sending my orders so quickly. The cat and dog Christmas ornaments had a huge success as gifts to my son and daughter in law who are pets lovers, they were not the main gifts but they have been greatly appreciated and we all had a good laugh so funny they are.
Mums kitchen is looking awesome. Give her some more stemware for the cabinet behind you. She seems nice. I never take nice for granted. Happy New Year.😎 to you and yours.🎉

I have that bronze horse head (or one almost identical) in a different frame. My aunt, now 95 years old, gave it to my mother when she was a teenager. My mother would be 101 now. I lost the label sometime back, but I remember that it was from Los Angeles.
I love how you give old art love and new appreciation! I would love to see a video dedicated to taking care of your art at home and what kind of cleansing is ok for different surfaces/materials. A collab with an art conservator maybe?

King Richard’s is my most favorite Antique store in Los Angeles. I have been going there for 30 years at least. I moved out of California and I do miss going there. I will hit it up when I back there sometime in January. Great show
Here in Philly, every year the senior centers have an art exhibit. Featuring paintings, pottery ceramics, photogaphy etc. Some of the work is very nice. Just a suggestion for another source for you.

The stool/bench with the ram heads, I have one with gargoyle dragon heads on, love that carved frame, I have seen those but never where I could get it. Ok that copper horse looks almost identical to the cover of the awards program I designed back in 82/83 for graduation when I was in college, too freaky!!!😮But its beautiful, I need to do a copper engraving again. Did a lion in high school.

Love the art. I don't know how to buy vintage art, but I know what I like when I see it. Good art just adds that extra touch to any space.

Do you sell online the items you purchase or are they for your home. Many wonderful warm wishes for this coming year 2024.
I love going shopping with you! Oh, and I have the silver salt and pepper shakers. They were my grandmother's. Sadly, she died in 1971, so the shakers have been around a while.
I'm sure you are recognized at these antique shops now. Everyone must be doing a happy dance when you enter with that large budget you have. It is nice you support these stores instead of cheap china junk in big stores.
