Pretty cool. I like how compact to card is size wise. I have a FAT OLGA for my 2000EATX, and she is Big, but capable with many blinky LED's and features. Always learn something new watching your videos.
While capable & an entertaining build, short (non- full length) cards were never installed into any of my high end systems because they were more prone to shorting (ie, not vertically stabilized by the front and rear case card guides, nor held down into the slot by the rear back plate screw).
Man, I'd LOVE to get one of these for my A2000. I'm looking for a modest accelerator that keeps it 16-bit, but faster than the 7MHz stock CPU. 4MB would be fine too as I have an A2091 with 2MB on it already. I love seeing all these Amiga expansions you put together but I can never figure out how to get my hands on one!
Silica gel is a form of silicon dioxide, the same substance as beach sand. It is not particularly chemically reactive and non-toxic to humans and other animals.
As far as I know it is just manufacturers trying to cover their ass. Usually the pearls are so tiny they could not possibly pose a choking hazard. I don't see the danger and have never heard of anyone injured by silica gel.
PS: I spelled Jorgens name wrong! It's NOT Jorgan - It's Jorgen ;)

Thanks =D The Olga is nice - just not had chance to build one yet!

The bag for the 50V 16pF capacitor had the PCB in it.
Ah, of course!!!!! Well spotted!

That's surprising! I remember seeing warnings on it saying it's harmfull! Maybe they mean "choking risk"?!?

What a great board. Did you try the 50Mhz setting just to see what happens ?
Yes, it is very nice! I tried 50Mhz in the next part - but I need to re-test the higher speeds in part 3 I think.
@@GadgetUK164 Cool. I can't wait to see them.
Where do you get all the components from in the UK. Cheers
Mouser, Digikey, Farnell, RS Online! Sometimes eBay or AliExpress!
the date on the video camera said 2020 is this a 5 year old video ?.
Haha, sorry about that - its the microscope camera that has a default date of 2020, even if you change it - it is not retained between power cycles.
