I'm not quite sure why l haven't watched the first podcast, but after this l really want to! What a sweet story!! My husband and l met when l was a senior in high school and my husband was a junior. We went to different schools and had one mutual friend. We met at a party and then didn't talk again for 8 or 9 months. We chatted through bulletin boards! This was in 1993. We talked about a million things and l think we both realized we liked each other. He finally asked me out and we were inseparable ever since! We got engaged in 1995 and married in 1997. We celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary last month and in Nov we will be celebrating 25 years together. It's CRAZY! We had infertility issues for years, but in the eve of our 10th wedding anniversary we found out I was finally pregnant. Our son is a little miracle boy. Unfortunately we haven't been able to have any more, but the fact we have one is a answered prayer. Thank you for sharing all of this! It would be fun to hear how all of your family met their significant others. Both sets of parents, all your siblings. I think it would be just as sweet as your story and just as compelling. ❤
I'm 8 minutes in, and decided that I need to make some popcorn to watch this hour long podcast!! So excited to listen!! holy cow, I can't describe just how crazy this is. So, last year I graduated high school and my boyfriend (at the time), who plays professional baseball, was being sent to Spokane, where he would play for that season. That summer I packed up and moved with him and got engaged while we were living in Spokane. How crazy is this?? I think my mom can relate on how your dad was feeling when he sent you off to Washington knowing you would return engaged. As im watching this is just gets crazier and crazier. Were also getting married this November.

Long distance is flipping hard man. My birthday is August 13! My now husband and I dated for 6 years before we got married and went through 4 years of long distance to focus on our own education. I'm thankful to have that time of distance because in a marriage communication is so important! I love thinking about my love story and hearing other people talk about theirs and it's just sooo sweet.

My dad is stuck in an alcoholic way of life sadly. These days I feel as if I need my parents the most but their not really in it there with me my dad a little but not my mom. The more you try to "hide" the honeymoon story - the more people will want to hear it. Lol I didn't meet my husband until I was 20 but we joked about the age difference right from day one. His first day of community college would have been my first day of high school (we're 5 years apart.) I still bug him about the age difference but now I bug him about how close he is to 50. (He'll be 47 in November). We knew pretty much right away that this was "it." My parents recognized it right away as well. Both my parents are gone now but I always said that my Mum was the president of his fan club. I found out later that his family knew I was the one because he never brought anyone to a family event before but he brought me to his Dad's 50th birthday party. He made me wait what seemed like forever to hear the words that he loved me. He took me on a big drive to a favourite spot of his from when he was growing up and the sky was clear and the moon was glowing. He walked me out to the middle of the bridge in the middle of the lake and that's when he kissed me and told me he loved me... still makes me melt thinking about it... I'm a sappy romantic and he is sooooo not so that was a big deal to me. We joked that I'm Tigger & he's Eeyore. I am a PSW (you might know me as a nurse's aide in a nursing home) so I wear scrub uniforms and like different patterns on my shirts. He rolls his eyes but he knows the Eeyore ones are "for him."
