La semana pasada, ayudo a un desconocido que lo necesitaba. Translates to Last week, I helped a stranger who needed it. Not, "She helped a stranger in need." I am still learning, but I knew that one was off!
The translation in not literal, and it comes down to the same thing. If you want to translate it literally, you are correct. But I hear 'in need' more than 'who needed it' when hearing English. Or maybe I listened to Placebo too often 'friend in need, etc' I use more colloquial forms of language instead of literal translations from time to time.
Va corriendo por la calle, to me is "he runs down the street." He Is running down the street, to me is "El esta corriendo por la calle" I see I commented below here, earlier, too. Why does it seem to me some of your stuff seems a little wanky to me?

La semana pasada, Ella ayudo un desconocido en necesidad
Yo ayudo: I help, 1st person, present - Ella ayudó (with accent): she helped, 3rd person, simple past.

Just use your left arrow on your

You can use both ESTAR corriendo as well as IR corriendo. Translate it like I'm running, and I'm going, while running.
