When we finally got to see an actual hologram in the movie! They should make the sequel like 5 years later. Older. Running starlight house. Synergy can be a part of a bigger hidden synergy at a drive-in theater. Make it Jem Vs The Misfits. It could work if this movie was seen as an intro or prequel. Sadly this film bombed hard. I mean hard. I mean the worst major opening movie of all time. I looked it up.
With all the Tech today they could have made synergy they could have made a lot of things cool about this movie and instead they chose to make it that nineties Britney Spears movie

I'm a little embarrassed that I know this... but not so much. Based on the TV series; Jerrica and Kimber's mother was the reason Starlight Music even existed. Their mother, Jacqui Benton was a singer/musician. The money she earned built and maintained Starlight Foundation. While on tour, the plane Jacqui was on crashed, killing her. Jerrica and Kimber were quite young, possibly in their early teens when this happened.
I've been re-watching episodes of the cartoon lately, and the movie really stripped out its identity. Apparently Jem creator Christy Marx was pushed out of having any input besides a cameo, so there's the first problem.
Dad's final message to his only daughter ☺ Oh wait, the movie and the dad completely forgot about the sister xD What kind of dad would spend his last moments creating a machine to send a message to ONE of this 2 daughters instead to spend more time with both of them and filming a video with a camera during an evening while they are asleep?

On behalf of all the fans of the tv series "Jem and The Holograms" I would like to say that this film was totally outrageously bad and it sucks.
