Michael B Jordan is young but talented, he's had a powerful performance in Fruitvale, was decent actor in Friday Night Lights, Kate Mara has killed it in House of Cards and Toby Kebbel was outstanding in the sequel of planet of the Apes. What I say is that the panel felt soulless, with little passion behind the project, as if somewhat they realized they fucked up long ago and there's no point doing this. I hope I'm wrong because like I said I like the cast, and I loved Chronicle. But the comic con trailer just dropped and it feels like they hired the guys behind Green Lantern's special effects on that movie.

I understand that the Storm Siblings are Step in this Movie. I understand that this is strictly Ultimate-1610 based F4, where Reed, Johnny, Sue, Ben, and Victor are in their 20's and discover an Alternate Dimension by Reed's Teleportation Device.
For my this movie would be like the amazing spiderman, good but not excellent in critics, very acceptable box office and a "serious" origins story, but I pretty sure that in the end the Clasic suits are gonna be in the movie, doom would be in latveria ready to take down the government and that

Granted Miller no of course in terms of box office not but I think that this movie can make $400 millions or at least 300 with some good reviews, and that would be enough to make the sequel an the crossover with the xmen

I'm sad that we'll never get to see Josh Trank's original version of the film. I know that what he wanted to do was completely different from what people expect from superhero movies, but dammit the studios need to have faith in the director's vision. Plagued by reshoots and script changes, no wonder this bombed. I don't think it's the director's fault, but this is another case where the studio meddles too much.
Its sad to see a group of people who are immediately hated for wanting to be a part of making something different. People have not even tried to give them or this project the time of day. Everything that an actor or crew member says about the project has turned into another vial reason to hate the movie. They got up there and they felt the air get sucked out of the room and they still tried to give a spiel. Fantastic Four (2015) is about a group of Scientist (Ultimate-1610 Fantastic Four) who discover an Alternate Dimension called the Negative Zone, where an Accident happens, giving one elasticity, one invisibility, transforming one into a rock monster, and giving one pyrokinesis. How are two of them linked? How do you know Michael B. Jordan hasn't read a Comic Book? You know his entire life better than him?
When this movie comes out and it turns out to be good I am gonna be laughing my ass off at the people crucifying the crew. Honestly why does everybody have such disdain towards a movie that hasn't even come out yet. I'm not excited for this movie but I'm definitely not dreading its existence. Chris V Honestly, this film has a great cast so if the film doesn't deliver, 9/10 its probably the script or director who are likely to be the culprits. Keep in mind that Josh Trank (Chronicles) wrote this film with another screenwriter by the name of Jeremy Slater (Lazarus Effect), before that draft was doctored by Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter). That revised draft was finally rewritten altogether by Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past & Sherlock Holmes). If you look at their writing credits, it's obvious their style is different. Hopefully, they could reach a creative common ground that could improve the FF reputation as a film franchise but if not, no more reboots of this property for a long long time.

It's funny looking at all the optimistic comments stating that the movie will be great. It really wasnt. The movie had huge behind the scenes problems; the director would show up drunk on set, the studio went back and reshot several scenes and the movie was completely butchered in editing. Going by the box office numbers, absolutely no one is looking forward to seeing the inevitable sequel Fox will squirt out to keep the rights.

The movie sucked balls but looking back at this panel, it's pretty evident that Micheal B. Jordan is showing the most enthusiasm here, along with Toby Kebbell. their love for their respective characters and source material clearly shows.
Im going into this with as open a mind as can come. I dont really like what I'm seeing and dont hate it either. Some looks ok others look...unexciting. I with all my heart want this movie to do well by me so I hope im in for a pleasant surprise.
Having watched Chronicle, I know Josh created something special. Too special, in fact, for the studio bigwigs. It’s a shame that they slandered Trank’s name and butchered what could’ve been one of the greatest Sci-Fi movies of all time. Trank had so much potential to create a masterpiece. His movie was butchered. I saw the cut that was released. I saw bits of Trank’s movie, little beacons of a rich and emotionally moving Sci-Fi drama, but they were drowned out by Fox’s reshoots. It was supposed to be 2 hours and 20 minutes. The entire third act was redone. Action scenes were removed by the studio. Character exchanges, important moments, they were all shortened and hacked up in an attempt to turn what was supposed to be a methodical and cerebral slow burn into desperate key jangling because they didn’t have faith in the audience having comprehension skills beyond that of a child. If Trank is out there reading this (although I doubt he is) I hope you know that there are people out there who have faith in your abilities as a filmmaker. I really wish I got to see what you made, because you had something special.
THE REAL REASON THE FILM FLOPPED! This should serve as a warning, diversity has it's place. When it comes to obscure comic book characters you can be a gender bender, or swap ethincity....BUT when it comes to PREMIER CHARACTERS...that method is a NO NO! When this gets brought up folks are quick to call you racist, well for the record I'm African American, and I was raised on Marvel comics, I have an extensive collection down to this day, when I saw they made the Human Torch, one of the most beloved characters in the Marvel Universe, a African American I knew the reboot was doomed to failure! Folks deny it, some are ridiculed for speaking on it, but it's the truth, and if you think that had nothing to do with it's failure then let Marvel, Disney, Sony, whoever....make Spider-man black, or latino, and see what happens. Or better yet make Black Panther white and see the backlash that follows. There are plenty of African American superheroes to choose from, OR just be original and create one, but swapping ethincities isn't DIVERSITY it's just plain LAZY!
I don't get why people want Marvel making every movie. Apt hey have some great movies but also some mediocre ones plus some variety doesn't hurt. Fox is on right now with Xmen after First Class and DOFP which are better than the majority of Marvel movies. ( Personally all but Cap 2 and Guardians)

They are all Marvel characters to begin with and I would love to see The Fantastic Four and X-Men appear with The Avengers. Biological Alterations, Human Transfusions, Genetic Mutations causing a Man to turn completely into a shocking gummy worm, an Elastic freaky look, a Woman to turn Invisible, where you can see every part of her Human Anatomy, a Guy who is fused with Rocks and turned into this big ugly monster, and a Dude who can light himself on Fire. Can be devastating in reality. Physically and mentally.

When this movie comes out and it turns out to be good I am gonna be laughing my ass off at the people crucifying the crew. Honestly why does everybody have such disdain towards a movie that hasn't even come out yet. I'm not excited for this movie but I'm definitely not dreading its existence. I mean for God sakes people, it's a movie based on the lowest rated comic book series at this point in time. The last three incarnations of this property were an embarrassment to say the least and anyone that says otherwise is completely biased and are drooling "MCU" fanboys. Chris V Honestly, this film has a great cast so if the film doesn't deliver, 9/10 its probably the script or director who are likely to be the culprits.
Keep in mind that Josh Trank (Chronicles) wrote this film with another screenwriter by the name of Jeremy Slater (Lazarus Effect), before that draft was doctored by Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter). That revised draft was finally rewritten altogether by Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past & Sherlock Holmes).
If you look at their writing credits, it's obvious their style is different. Hopefully, they could reach a creative common ground that could improve the FF reputation as a film franchise but if not, no more reboots of this property for a long long time.

Mariana Anselmo Yeah, I really want to be excited for this film and I've been defending it from the crazies since January, but I have to admit the lack of excitement from the cast and crew has been irking, maybe it's from all the stress they've been dealing with re-shoots and the crap they've been betting online. But I really hope this movie pulls a World War Z, so even if early hype was bad , the movie actually being good is what saves it.

It's funny looking at all the optimistic comments stating that the movie will be great. It really wasnt.
The movie had huge behind the scenes problems; the director would show up drunk on set, the studio went back and reshot several scenes and the movie was completely butchered in editing.
Going by the box office numbers, absolutely no one is looking forward to seeing the inevitable sequel Fox will squirt out to keep the rights.

Having watched Chronicle, I know Josh created something special. Too special, in fact, for the studio bigwigs. It’s a shame that they slandered Trank’s name and butchered what could’ve been one of the greatest Sci-Fi movies of all time. Trank had so much potential to create a masterpiece. His movie was butchered. I saw the cut that was released. I saw bits of Trank’s movie, little beacons of a rich and emotionally moving Sci-Fi drama, but they were drowned out by Fox’s reshoots. It was supposed to be 2 hours and 20 minutes. The entire third act was redone. Action scenes were removed by the studio. Character exchanges, important moments, they were all shortened and hacked up in an attempt to turn what was supposed to be a methodical and cerebral slow burn into desperate key jangling because they didn’t have faith in the audience having comprehension skills beyond that of a child.
If Trank is out there reading this (although I doubt he is) I hope you know that there are people out there who have faith in your abilities as a filmmaker. I really wish I got to see what you made, because you had something special.
THE REAL REASON THE FILM FLOPPED! This should serve as a warning, diversity has it's place. When it comes to obscure comic book characters you can be a gender bender, or swap ethincity....BUT when it comes to PREMIER CHARACTERS...that method is a NO NO! When this gets brought up folks are quick to call you racist, well for the record I'm African American, and I was raised on Marvel comics, I have an extensive collection down to this day, when I saw they made the Human Torch, one of the most beloved characters in the Marvel Universe, a African American I knew the reboot was doomed to failure! Folks deny it, some are ridiculed for speaking on it, but it's the truth, and if you think that had nothing to do with it's failure then let Marvel, Disney, Sony, whoever....make Spider-man black, or latino, and see what happens. Or better yet make Black Panther white and see the backlash that follows. There are plenty of African American superheroes to choose from, OR just be original and create one, but swapping ethincities isn't DIVERSITY it's just plain LAZY!

I don't get why people want Marvel making every movie. Apt hey have some great movies but also some mediocre ones plus some variety doesn't hurt. Fox is on right now with Xmen after First Class and DOFP which are better than the majority of Marvel movies. ( Personally all but Cap 2 and Guardians)
