use your crockpot! better food, better recover! with that turkey you could do turkey dinner just by adding 1 monster meat+1 mushroom, since they're pretty bad if you do not cook 'em in a pot, or morsels and vegetables (20 health, 75 hungry, 5 sanity!) just cook everything with the crock pot, except for corns (they're better raw!), carrots and berries if you need to eat when exploring!
Moral of the story: If a demon traps you on an island in the middle of nowhere,an island full of walking chests and giant tree monsters, get some jerky from a talking pig. You will be spared instantly... Oh, Don't Starve.
bought don't starve in the steam winter sale a few day ago... was looking for a let's play without any dlcs to see how others are doing : ) i think the fact that you didnt know everything about the game when you recorded this makes it more interesting, exciting and helpful to watch. so the viewer finds out about all the stuff when you do/did... sub and thumbs up... now i wanna see how it's going with your game and play it at the same time : )

I watched like 5 minutes of an episode and kinda missed volx' voice and play style, so I came back and now I'm watching his Don't Starve series.. ;D PS: I'm not new to the game.. I've been playing it since it was still in beta and I wanted to know if Reign of Giants is interesting..

i found something amazing, you can save yourself from hounds by log suit+football helmet= 1 damage from hounds early on
I like the music during winter.
If you dig up plants, you can use them as fuel. You'll save logs that way.

One cheesy trick in vanilla Don't Starve is to trap and stash rabbits in chests as emergency food supply, since they don't need feeding in vanilla.
